[Bug 472602] Re: usb devices and dvd/cd-rom not mounting on startup

2009-11-04 Thread Djodjo
It's related to virtualbox libraries or dependencies for sure. I
uninstalled, and then I run sudo apt-get autoremove to get rid of its
dependencies. Reboot and everything was ok, tried many boots and reboots
and things were sweet ... After I reinstall virtuabox and reboot, bang,
it wasn't mounting again! This time I even reinstalled virtualbox-ose
...

So, really a BUG, i guess ...

[Bug 472602] Re: usb devices and dvd/cd-rom not mounting on startup

2009-11-04 Thread Djodjo
I got some news. I mean, i guess i can reconfirm that bug. I made a
fresh install. The installation before was actually an upgrade. I made a
fresh install and realize everything was fine. Then I started
installating some packages. And then after a restart, the bug was back.
I guess there is some dependencies been installed that may be affecting
the normal behavior. The most significant package i installed was
virtualbox 3 from virtualboox repos (and it's dependencies). And also
amarok 1.4 ... gnome-do and chromium i guess it wouldn't affect right?

2009-11-03 Thread djodjo
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: phatch

When i save to PGM format, it actually saves to PNM. Being PGM a
grayscale format it would be very usefull we could save directly to PGM
instead of PNM.

[Bug 472602] [NEW] usb devices and dvd/cd-rom not mounting on startup

2009-11-03 Thread Djodjo
Public bug reported:

Expected behavior:
In Ubuntu 9.04 and previous releases, if i had a DVD or CD on my DVD/CD-ROM, or
a pen-drive or an usb external HD it would be mounted on start-up, and it's
icons would be shown on my desktop.

Actual Behavior:
Now it is only mounted when i click on nautilus on the left side bar, or if i
unplug and then plug it again.

[Bug 451369] Re: cannot disable animations

2009-10-30 Thread Djodjo
So that is its? You guys wanna be like Windows now? What's essential about
animations effects? I just can't believe it! Now i am really thinking off
moving to another distribution ... for real. I like it disabled, is it ok?
What is even sillier is that you give me the option to disable it, but i can't!
What is the point about that? Telling the user, "hey, do that! Oh no! You
can't!"
Where is my freedom?

[Bug 373452] Re: Hp DV5 audio noise

2009-10-30 Thread Djodjo
I just updated to ubuntu 9.10 and this annoying bug affects me! It's
completely annoying, is like a torture! Please, assign it immediatelly!
It's like having a annoying noise knocking at your head.

And I got it on hp dv6646us ...
So it seems to be closely related to hp models.

On ubuntu 9.04 that bug didn't exist! It happens a lots of time on start
up, ans seriously, it's those kind of bugs where a new user would think:
"Wow, that sucks, I don't want it anymore, going back to seven, or
vista" ... I mean, those comments "Works well on Evil Empire" it is just
free publicity for that evil empire.

Thank you all! Hope it is fixed soon enough ...
