[Bug 765269] Re: Missing tray icons if processes start before Unity does

2011-04-29 Thread Dmitry Murat
Confirmed at 11.04 x64 updated from 10.10.
I also get green pixel 1x1 instead of standard Skype icon.
If I'm not mistaken by its placement it's top left point of skype icon.
And if I close and reopen Skype its is shown correctly.

[Bug 44082] Re: GNOME Panel icons (on right side) move apparently randomly on session start in some situations

2009-12-17 Thread Dmitry Murat
Dear Ahmad Amr,
If you are fully-skilled Linux developer you can fix this bug yourself and we
will appreciate your help. If you've paid some money for GNOME you can write a
letter to people who've taken your money. If you don't like the situation at
all you can use some other DE (KDE or XFCE, for example) or change your OS. I
think Microsoft will be happy to hear your cries. Of course, after you pay them
your money. Or you can simply shut up, sit down and wait for people doing this
work. May be you forgot but both GNOME and Ubuntu are free for you.

Dear developers,
Is there any way to raise the priority of this bug? Because it's really
annoying for lots of us.

[Bug 376665] [NEW] Ubuntu 9.04 x64 - no splash screen while hibernating using s2disk

2009-05-14 Thread Dmitry Murat
Public bug reported:

Using Ubuntu 9.04 x64 clean install (specially created main and swap
partitions). Installed uswsusp 0.8-1.1ubuntu3 and splashy
0.3.13-3ubuntu2~ppa4 packages. s2disk works well but doesn't want to
show splash screen. It says Looking for splash system... none while
creating image and resuming. But splashy is correctly installed and
works well while starting up computer or shutting it down.

# /etc/uswsusp.conf(8) -- Configuration file for s2disk/s2both
resume device = /dev/sda6
splash = y
compress = y
early writeout = y
image size = 1439249530
RSA key file = /etc/uswsusp.key
shutdown method = platform
compute checksum = y

PS: my splashy version is the modified version of 0.3.13-3ubuntu1. It's
used because original one conflicted with lsb-base - see bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/splashy/+bug/328089

And I've got splash screens for boot and shutdown processes.

And small off-topic: s2disk during hibernate/resume still tells me
Looking for splash system... none. Is it correct s2disk behaviour?

[Bug 349312] Re: Evolution 2.26 does not support import of outlook .pst

2009-04-29 Thread Dmitry Murat
OK, Sebastian, you're right :) For me, it's not extremely needed because I
already imported all the data using libpst.
But this option (Outlook - Evolution import) is mentioned in Gnome 2.26
release notes as one of the most important thing of the release (item 2.3). So
it's very strange that in Ubuntu 9.04 with Gnome 2.26 this is not included.

IMHO, simplicity of data migration is one of the most important things
in operation system switching. Some people are more IT-skilled and some
are less so they can't make the trick with libpst. And that's why I use
term extemely. But of course it's only my point of view and nothing
more :)

[Bug 44082] Re: GNOME Panel icons (on right side) move apparently randomly on session start in some situations

2009-04-29 Thread Dmitry Murat
Same situation here. I use notebook with external display too (with
different resolutions). I don't change resolution myself but I think
it's done automatically when gnome sets resolution of laptop display and
then changes it in TwinView mode for bigger external display's
resolution. And on every startup panel icons change their position in
some strange way.
