Hi,
this appens with the DVD and application of the archive monde-diplomatique on

totally based on GPL or GPL compatible licences)

(diplo-bin:7838): Gtk-WARNING **: /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/libsmooth.so:

at the end no appli starting

any idea. thanks in advance

PS: info about the tool here : http://www.monde-diplomatique.fr/cederom/
(a really very good source of information) and a pity that it could not
be used as the monde-diplo is the one who order a WCM that has been the

2010-03-28 Thread Dominique Hausser
Hi,

Thanks for this. It gave me the solution with Intel 5100 AGN on
EliteBook 6930p with lucid beta (Linux MX-201470 2.6.32-17-generic
#26-Ubuntu SMP Sat Mar 20 02:23:45 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux). I was
unable to connect network with wifi.

And it work fine adding pci=use_crs in /etc/default/grub
followed by an updage-grub, as suggested by LocutusOfBorg (2009-11-29 #27).

Does it mean anyway that the problem is there again in lucid ?

Have a nice day

[Bug 394823] Re: OpenOffice 3.1 - calc print rows fails

2009-12-01 Thread Dominique Hausser
Hello,
This bug is a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/+bug/374708

I got in the duplicate, the info to solve at least provisionnaly the
problem :

Is it possible to include this workaround
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=502641#c12 in the package?

--- snip ---
The problem is that the syntax check in areasdlg.cxx fails if there is no
formula grammar specified in the user configuration. In that case
lcl_CheckRepeatOne() just returns false instead of trying with the default
grammar. As a workaround try the following:

1. Select Tools/Options... from the menu
2. In the left tree navigate to OpenOffice.org Calc/Formula
3. Click on the Arrow right to Calc A1 to see the list of possible grammars
and select Calc A1 explicitely from the dropdown list (even if it was already
selected)
4. Press OK to save

[Bug 413408] [NEW] qtlinguist 4.5 (in jaunty) generate wrong .qm (encoding problem)

2009-08-14 Thread Dominique Hausser
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: qtiplot

Hi,
The application is found in qt4-dev-tools (4.5.0-0ubuntu4 or
4.5.1-1~ppa1~jaunty1) .
Generation of .qm directly from qtlinguist generate error (I suppose a wrong
encoding), wich make that translations are not taken into account.
In contrary using the command line lrelease generate a correct .qm and
translations are taken into account

I was not able to verify if the problem is related to the compilation of
qtlinguist for ubuntu or if the problem is already in the source code.

I add two images showing the problem in the application using the
translations

[Bug 173090] Re: [upstream] [hardy] Special characters are not displayed correctly, fonts dissappear from the menu

2008-08-18 Thread Dominique Hausser
I confirmed that in OOo.org 2.4.1-1ubuntu2 this problem appears again
for me.

As usual I checked the various OOo.org packages for french, I checked my
fonts packages I run

sudo fc-cache -f -v

è ü é ö à ä î û â ê produce the following ˸ é ö à ‰ î û â ê

The problem is coming back regularly with some updates, seems to be
corrected with a next update, come back again ... (the problem is that
affected letters are not always the same, from all to some, like this
time.

As I have to work with a graphical chart, I must use Arial from
Microsoft... and it will take a while before the modification of the
chart.

If someone could find what's behind the recursive problem and help a
poor user, it would be wonderful.

Thanks.
