[Bug 190129] Re: screen resolution reset at maximum resolution at login

2008-02-09 Thread Don Rist
Using Configuration Editor and looking at desktop/gnome/screen/0/default
and selecting resolution or rate, there is a warning that reads "This
key has no schema."

[Bug 190129] Re: screen resolution reset at maximum resolution at login

2008-02-09 Thread Don Rist
If any confirmation of this bug is needed, I'm having the same problem.
Resolution resets to maximum with each login. Selecting and saving a
lower resolution with the box checked to make it the default has no
effect. My maximum is 1280 X 1024. Selecting 1024 X 768 works for
the current session but is back to 1280 x 1024 next time I login.

[Bug 189599] Re: [Hardy] Ubuntu does not remember the screen resolution

2008-02-08 Thread Don Rist
Same problem occurs if you log off and log back on. Resolution always
returns to highest setting.

[Bug 183199] Re: System sounds aren't being played in Hardy.

2008-01-19 Thread Don Rist
I can confirm that system sounds are broken in Ubuntu 8.04. I can play
a music CD and the Sound Playback in System->Preferences->Sounds
produces a tone, but I cannot play the login logout nor the information
and warning messages.
