2012-09-15 Thread Dooitze de Jong
** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu)

People can't personalize there own digital working environment.
Personalize is I think the power of Linux and if you take that away

  business.

  Some examples:
  People can not
  -- add applets/indicators to panels
  -- change position of panels
-- change the position of indicators
  -- change thickness of panels
-- change the sequence of icons

- I do a lot of video editing and I need the CPU Frequency applet to
- configure my CPU for the best results of creating and editing video's.
+ They might be able to do this in a really difficult way but that does

[Bug 696214] Re: No possibility to personalize Unity (11.04)

2011-01-04 Thread Dooitze de Jong
"You can always use the gnome environment, as in 10.10"
But the Install CD size is not enough if you want to create some new functions
in the future in Unity.

@Robert Roth You're right I will remove that reason

[Bug 691741] Re: Duplicated window title bars with Unity 3.2.8

All apps have two windows when they are maximized (except nautilus)

** Description changed:

- Chromium has two window title bars when maximized in Unity 3.2.8. See
- the attached screenshot. The bug is only present when Chromium starts
- maximized. When Chromium starts with normal window, maximizing works as
- expected (the window title bar is merged into the top panel). Also, when
- I open a new (maximized) window, the window title bar merges with the
- top panel even if Chromium was originally started maximized (and thus
- the first window has two title bars).
