[Bug 677894] Re: Ubuntu 10.10 complete system freeze on an Asus EeePc 1005PE
** Description changed: The system freezes completely when I`m doing simple thing like browsing with Firefox. There`s not any apparent reason. The video freezes while both keyboard and mouse become irresponsible. Killing X server (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace) neither opening another tty works. The only thing a could do was a reboot through the physical button. I think this is a regression bug because on Ubuntu 10.04 I didn`t have this problem. It usually happens after 1 hour of use. + + I`ve upgraded the BIOS to the last version using the ASUS utility on Windows but the problem remains. + ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: linux-image-2.6.35-22-generic 2.6.35-22.35 Regression: Yes Reproducible: No ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.35-generic 2.6.35.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic i686 AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.23.
