[Bug 1875025] Re: Cannot enter password to unlock session
Similar situation. Upgraded to xubutnu 20.04 LTS. My primary use of this system is ssh and RDP as I'm rarely in the same room. There is a monitor attached, so removing light-locker is insecure. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1875025 Title: Cannot enter password to unlock session To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfce4-screensaver/+bug/1875025/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1789477] [NEW] file creation in smb share gives app error
Public bug reported: *Steps to reproduce:* I found the easiest way to reproduce this is to use vim as follows: Mount the share using the gnome file manager cd /run/user/1000/gvfs/smb-share:server=myServer,share=0test ls -a # make sure that there are no .filename.tmp files vim newfile *Result* At this point, vim creates a .newfile.swp file, but receives a message from fuse that the file already exists, causing vim to throw an error that the swap file already exists. *Expected Result* At this point, vim creates a .newfile.swp file, receiving no error, and then opens to edit the new file without error NOTES: The issue does not occur local filesystem or on the same share mounted via cifs. lsbrelease -rd Description:Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Release:18.04 fuse version 2.9.7-1ubuntu1 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: fuse 2.9.7-1ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-33.36-generic 4.15.18 Uname: Linux 4.15.0-33-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.2 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Tue Aug 28 14:18:06 2018 InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-05-08 (112 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS "Bionic Beaver" - Release amd64 (20180426) ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm-256color PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: fuse UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: fuse (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug bionic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1789477 Title: file creation in smb share gives app error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fuse/+bug/1789477/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 201225] Re: Wifi working but at 1Mb/s
A fix for this has been posted to the upstream Kernel Mailing list as of 2.6.26: From: Larry Finger commit c6a2afdacccd56cc0be8e9a7977f0ed1509069f6 upstream Date: Sat, 6 Sep 2008 16:51:22 -0500 Subject: [patch 07/26] b43legacy: Fix failure in rate-adjustment mechanism A coding error present since b43legacy was incorporated into the kernel has prevented the driver from using the rate-setting mechanism of mac80211. Re: [Bug 107988] Re: nm-applet will not connect to particular network
Hi, I've tried it with the live CD to no avail. The live CD doesn't seem to like my Broadcom 4306 wireless card. The 'iwlist' command says it can't list the available access points because my card doesn't support scanning. [Bug 107988] Re: nm-applet will not connect to particular network
I get similar behaviour. nm-applet calls wpa-supplicant with the following command: /sbin/wpa_supplicant -dd -g /var/run/wpa_supplicant-global Then it works manually, wpa-supplicant is called as follows: /sbin/wpa_supplicant -Bw -Dwext -iwlan0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf Here's the contents of my wpa_supplicant.conf file: ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant network={ ssid="myNetwork" scan_ssid=1 key_mgmt=WPA-PSK psk="AustinPowersSecretKey" } -- nm-applet will not connect to particular network https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107988 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
