Binary package hint: pppoeconf

In Ubuntu 7.04, 7.10 LiveCD and after install
sudo pppoeconf = internet connection

In Ubuntu 8.04 alpha , beta , daily LiveCD and after install:
sudo pppoeconf = no internet connection

Looking for PPPoE Access Concentrator on eth0
Looking for PPPoE Access Concentrator on eth0 (multi-modem mode)
Sorry i scanned 1 interface, but the Acess Concentrator of your provider did 
not respond

Same computer , same internet provider.
Both Ubuntu 7.10 and 8.04 daily ar installed on diferent partitions.
I don't have an external modem, router or anything else just a network card.

On Edgy Beta the problem was resolved but with the 1:6.10+20061019
romanian language pack update the problem is still there.
