[Bug 771339] [NEW] qemu-system-arm stopped while loading images resulted from buildroot

2011-04-26 Thread Dwi Sasongko Supriyadi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: qemu-kvm

To reproduce this issue:

Create kernel image and cpio rootfs from buildroot 2011.02 using
qemu_arm_versatile_defconfig then try following from buildroot top
directory:

qemu-system-arm -M versatilepb -m 128M -kernel output/images/zImage
-initrd output/images/rootfs.cpio.gz -nographic

Uncompressing Linux... done, booting the kernel.

Then stopped endlessly.

When using older kernel version (I did not try all possible version, but
I picked 2.6.27.58) the resulting image can be loaded.

Workaround: Install Qemu 0.14.0 from source, buildroot images can be
loaded and run normally.

** Affects: qemu-kvm (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
