[Bug 1349095] Re: sortmail won't build: libgdm-dev does not contain gdbm-ndbm.h
I am the author of Sortmail. I swear by the old gods and the new that dbm is the most unstable library in Unix. I've had to refactor code and Makefile to accommodate changes to that damn library more than everything else put together. Integrating ssl was easier than keeping up with dbm changes. Anyway, I've just pushed a new Makefile to SourceForge. I don't know who's packaging Sortmail for Debian (I only just found out today that Sortmail is *in* Debian), but they should pick up the latest version. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1349095 Title: sortmail won't build: libgdm-dev does not contain gdbm-ndbm.h To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sortmail/+bug/1349095/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 216550] Re: Keyboard shortcuts for raise/lower window not working
Cripes. [Bug 216550] Re: Keyboard shortcuts for raise/lower window not working
Updating: as of Ubuntu 14.04 there doesn't seem to be *be* a raise/lower function. You can bind a key to raise or to lower, but not raise/lower. I couldn't even find it in compizconfig-settings-manager -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216550 Title: Keyboard shortcuts for raise/lower window not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/216550/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I just accepted an auto-update on my Ubuntu 14.04 system and all application shortcuts stopped working. [Bug 1292290] Re: [SRU] Window manager keybindings don't work after reboot
I spent a lot of time configuring my system the way I wanted it, and everything was lost on the next reboot. Highly annoying. [Bug 1292290] Re: [SRU] Window manager keybindings don't work after reboot
Note: attaching xfce4-keyboard-shortcuts.xml. Observe that there are two entries for workspace_1_key: PrimaryF1 which is the system default and Primary1 which is what I changed it to. (Aside: why doesn't the system respond to both of those shortcuts?) [Bug 936840] Re: ctrl key now known as primary which breaks keyboard shortcuts
Still being stored as Primary in my Ubuntu/xfce4 14.04 system. Seriously, what motivated some software engineer to rename ctrl as Primary? What problem did this solve that couldn't be solved some other way? This is what should be done now: Track down all software that writes Primary to any config file and change it to write ctrl (or ctrl_L or ctrl_R if you need). Also make sure that all the software understands Primary and converts it to ctrl when it reads a config file. Nonsense like this is why Linux is having so much trouble being adopted for the general desktop. Every single damn release breaks things. I can't stand upgrading because I know I need to fix fifty things when I do. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/936840 Title: ctrl key now known as primary which breaks keyboard shortcuts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/936840/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
