[Bug 545340] Re: Prism crashes frequently

2010-03-30 Thread Eetu Huisman
Ok, it seems that after upgrading all the packages and removing
moonlight-plugin-mozilla, all my Prism apps now work. I guess I'll have
to file a separate bug against Moonlight if I ever need it...

Yes, unfortunately, even after upgrading to GTK 2.20 Prism still
crashes. I could install the some dbg-packages if that would provide the
necessary information to hunt down the cause.

[Bug 375862] [NEW] Nokia E51 not recognized as a music player

2009-05-13 Thread Eetu Huisman
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hal-info

It seems that the new way of recognizing Nokia S60 phones by their
storage.model doesn't work with all the S60 phones after all. I have a
Nokia E51 which reports its storage.model as E51, not S60 as
expected by http://cgit.freedesktop.org/hal-
info/commit/?id=d19b5591cb49342e0fda1e7790231c2d0c48fa5c.

I'm running jaunty with stock hal-info (20090407-0ubuntu1).

(I guess the real problem is that this model isn't really a music
player, but can be used as such. It could just as well be used as a
(rather crappy) camera. It does have two USB connection modes, but PC
Suite is for using it as a modem, I guess all other uses classify as
mass storage. I have access to a real music phone (N81), I'll see how
it reports itself.)

problem...

[Bug 146412] Re: gnome-screensaver-dialog never shows up

2007-11-25 Thread Eetu Huisman
Thanks for the tip! It wasn't in fact the same issue, but just looking
at /etc/pam.d and /var/log/auth.log helped me getting to the root of
this. While running Feisty I added the line @include common-pamkeyring
to /etc/pam.d/gnome-screensaver to enable automatic WPA authentication
after resuming from hibernate. In Gutsy common-pamkeyring isn't
available, which caused gnome-screensaver to fail. It should've failed
in a more graceful manner, of course, but removing the extra line from
/etc/pam.d/gnome-screensaver made things work again.

I'll notice upstream about the cause of the problem and the fix.

[Bug 150471] Re: [Gutsy] high processor activity after logging out and then logging in again

2007-10-25 Thread Eetu Huisman
I have this same issue on my desktop machine which doesn't have compiz
enabled.

[Bug 146412] Re: gnome-screensaver-dialog never shows up

2007-10-12 Thread Eetu Huisman
Does anyone have any hints for debugging this bug? I'd like to help
solving it.

Btw, this bug has an annoying side effect on a laptop. When gnome-
screensaver-dialog and gnome-screensaver have to be killed, the timeout
for entering powersaving (sleep or hibernate) is never voided. I guess
that's a separate bug though.

[Bug 146412] Re: gnome-screensaver-dialog never shows up

I have a strong feeling that the linked upstream bug could be the same
issue. Not sure though.

You could try T3D from xscreensaver-data-extra. It not exactly big and
clear, but it is better than nothing...

[Bug 146412] gnome-screensaver-dialog never shows up

2007-09-28 Thread Eetu Huisman
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

After upgrading to Gutsy, the unlock dialog for gnome-screensaver has
stopped working. After moving the mouse/touchpad or pressing a key the
screen stays blank and just the mouse cursor shows up.

There seems to be something strange going on with gnome-screensaver-
dialog, since it starts doing something hard drive intensive and eating
up resources.

Any pointers to what might be causing this and possible ways to debug
the problem are appreciated. I'm currently not running -dbg versions of
any packages, but I'm prepared to, if it is needed.

I linked to the upstream ticket about the same issue. It is (for now)
closed as wontfix, since the upstream maintainer states that this is an
Ubuntu issue.

It seems that the format on telkku.com has changed once again (see
http://xmltv.cvs.sourceforge.net/xmltv/xmltv/grab/fi/tv_grab_fi?view=log#rev1.52).I'll
post a patch as soon as I have the time to make one.

[Bug 48253] Re: tv_grab_fi broken, needs update to 0.5.45

2007-07-10 Thread Eetu Huisman
Ok, here's a patch which updates 0.5.44 version with the 1.47 - 1.48
patch to include the changes that were made between versions 1.51 and
1.52.

Btw, even if these patches aren't incorporated to the Ubuntu packages,
you can patch your own tv_grab_fi. Oh, the joy of interpreted
languages...

[Bug 48253] No need to update the whole package

2007-05-29 Thread Eetu Huisman
This one doesn't really need 0.5.45. It would be enough to incorporate
the changes from upstream revision 1.47 to 1.48. It is a four (or five)
line change, so it shouldn't be impossible. Right now xmltv is
effectively broken for all Finnish users.
