[Bug 1547135] Re: Support purchasing software
I have not seen any formal statement on what users are to expect in terms of previously purchased apps. I upgraded from 14.04 expecting to be able to re-install paid apps I had purchased in the last LTS. [Bug 705411] Re: Display keeps flashing on and off on IBM Thinkpad T42
Hi Omer, I am writing this on the latest build of Natty on the Thinkpad and it all works fine, it has gone straight into the Gnome2 shell, no Unity. Due to the fact that the laptop is now a family computer, I have booted from a USBkey. The keyboard layout has defaulted to a US layout without asking me but that is another matter. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/705411 Title: Display keeps flashing on and off on IBM Thinkpad T42 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 705411] Re: Display keeps flashing on and off on IBM Thinkpad T42
I would imagine that for Natty, the lack of openGL support will be detected and will automatically switch the desktop to Unity2D. The problem here is as I understand it, Maverick Netbook edition should have detected the lack of 3D support on the ThinkPad and switched to Gnome but didn't.
