[Bug 1547135] Re: Support purchasing software

2016-04-25 Thread Elthommo
I have not seen any formal statement on what users are to expect in
terms of previously purchased apps. I upgraded from 14.04 expecting to
be able to re-install paid apps I had purchased in the last LTS. What
is the official position on this please ?

[Bug 563420] Re: Ubuntu One Music Store, FLAC support

2012-06-19 Thread Elthommo
Ubuntu One store has allowed me to purchase The King Of Limbs (Deluxe
FLAC Version) but is downloading mp3's. The FLAC version is more
expensive - I am not getting what I have paid for and what has been
described.

This is not a wishlist item it is a serious bug

[Bug 705411] Re: Display keeps flashing on and off on IBM Thinkpad T42

2011-04-05 Thread Elthommo
Hi Omer, I am writing this on the latest build of Natty on the Thinkpad
and it all works fine, it has gone straight into the Gnome2 shell, no
Unity.

Due to the fact that the laptop is now a family computer, I have booted from a
USBkey.
The keyboard layout has defaulted to a US layout without asking me but that is
another matter.

Also, its worth mentioning, I tested Unity 2D on this machine and that
too is working fine.

[Bug 705411] Re: Display keeps flashing on and off on IBM Thinkpad T42

2011-02-21 Thread Elthommo
I would imagine that for Natty, the lack of openGL support will be
detected and will automatically switch the desktop to Unity2D. The
problem here is as I understand it, Maverick Netbook edition should have
detected the lack of 3D support on the ThinkPad and switched to Gnome
but didn't.
