[Bug 899925] [NEW] Huawei broadband modem fails to connect in 12.04 Alpha (Precise)
Public bug reported: System information === Distribution: 12.04 Alpha Kernel: 3.2.0-2-generic #5-Ubuntu SMP Status: Vanilla installation Package: 0.9.1.90 (via NetworManager --version) Problem Description The Huawei USB Broadband dongle which works perfectly in 10.10 fails to work in 12.04 Alpha. Although the problem was reported under bug #840082 and resolved via a 0.9.0-ubuntu3, it creeps back into 12.04 Alpha. The system is able to detect the dongle, it reports logging into home network However, trying to establish internet connection will result in failed connection. Work around == * this was accidentally found while trying to study the problem. 1. Find the pid of NetworkManager (ps -aef | grep -i networkmanager) 2. kill -9 ; NetworkManager --no-daemon 3. try to connect to internet, for my case it works. No guarantee though. Next Step will be doing a complete upgrade of all packages (apt-get upgrade -y) and test it again. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: broadband huawei networkmanager -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899925 Title: Huawei broadband modem fails to connect in 12.04 Alpha (Precise) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/899925/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 180826] Re: Tomboy.exe crashed with SIGSEGV
I was punching in a few lines without error until the following occurs: i typed "/etc/systems" and it turned into a blue hyperlink. When I clicked on the link, CPU utilization shot up to 50 odd percent. After about 2minutes, the application close, and a bug report was generated.
