[Bug 1038479] Re: [Satellite L755, Conexant CX20585, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while

2015-11-16 Thread Ercan MUTLU
@Anton (lancaster217)

TRUST ME GUYS PROBLEM GOES FROM CONNEXANT SOUND CHIP.
I WILL PROVE YOU:
---
During usage of nearly 2 years of my Laptop(Toshiba L750) CONNEXANT SOUND CHIP
IS NEVER OVER HEATED (NOT CPU, CPU STAYS ON DIFFERENT LOCATION,CPU Temp is
about 40 degree,BUT MY SOUND CHIP IS MORE THEN 60 degree)
 Where do I know ?
1.Place Your hand near your SOUND CHIP. MAKE SOUND LOUDER ( ? goes off
faster)
2.Wait for a MAX 2-3 min may be 5min (IF YOU LIVE IN COLD COUNTRY MAY BE 7
MIN OR MORE.) . When You feel on your palm heating increase You will see for i
while that SOUND GOES OFF POWER STATE TO 1.
(laptops react to save your motherboard )
3.DO THIS COMMAND FROM PROMPT :

hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D1 0x1f SET_POWER_STATE 0

YOU SEE SOUND GOES BACK. BUT after 15-30 second may be 1 min TURNS OFF
AGAIN.
4.PLEASE WAIT ABOUT 4 MINUTES TILL COOLS DOWN THE SOUND CHIP, THEN DO THIS
COMMAND AGAIN.
YOU WILL SE THAT SOUNDS GOES BACK BUT IT WORK MORE THEN 3-4 MIN BECAUSE
WE COOLED IT MORE.

MY TOSHIBA SUP. THEC. CENTER SAID ME : "WE KNOW THIS PROBLEM , SOLUTION IS
CHANGE MOTHERBOARD.THERE IS NO ANOTHER WAY.",

BUT I FOUND THE SOLUTION LIKE OTHER GUYS SUFFERS FROM THIS CRAPPY

SOLUTION IS : TO COOL THIS UGLY CHIP. BUT HOW ?
I placed on to the sound chip 0.6 mm X 3cm x 10cm to cool this guy.
NOW, I AM HAPPY THAT MY SOUND CARD WORKS MORE THEN 3 HOURS IN A LOUDER
MODE(8-10 volume), BUT IN NORMAL I mean normal my sound volume in a state of
2-3 is work ALWAYS.
 TRY IT YOU WILL SEE.

CAUSE OF CRAPPY SOUND CHIP, AFTER 1,5-2 YEARS OF USAGE IT DOESNT WORK
PROPERLY.(BUT IT WORKS ALWAYS ON JACK MODE,EXTERNAL SPEAKARS WORKS FOR A WHILE
DEPENDS ON OVERHEATING OF SOUND CHIP I TAKES 3-5 MINUTS.)
SOLUTION :
PLACE ON TO THE SOUND CHIP 0.6 mm X 3cm x 10cm RUBBER PLATE. THIS WILL SOLVE
THE ISSUE.
I AM NOT MAKING A JOKE. I AM SERIOUS .

[Bug 1414440] Re: [SATELLITE L750, Conexant CX20585, Speaker, Internal] speaker fails after a while; headphone jack still working

2015-11-16 Thread Ercan MUTLU
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1038479 ***

Guys I have the same problem.Main reason is crappy Connexant Sound Chip. After
2 year suddenly happend to me.
THIS IS A HARDWARE ISSUE NOT OS. Due to the SOUND CHIP OVERHEATING SOUND CHIP
GOES TO STATE OFF(But headphone work well) when over heating occurs..

SOLUTION

1. Change Motherboard (Toshiba Suppport Center tell me that:ISSUE IS FROM
Connexant SoundChip, they cant change it so MOTHERBOARD HAVE TO)
2.PLACE A NICE COPPER PLATE OVER connexant chip.( I do, sound work well for
more then 2 hours . I wish I have ı bigger ccupper plate :)
3.BUY I GOOD COOLER for a laptop.Place it near to the SOUND CHIP.
4.BUY A BLUETOOTH SPEAKER.

4.STOP ALSA.,WAIT FOR A WHILE TILL CHIP COOLS THEN START AGAIN.

Trust me there is no other way. I tried every think.

[Bug 1038479] Re: [Satellite L755, Conexant CX20585, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while

2015-08-24 Thread Ercan MUTLU
Many of Toshiba L7XXmodels has a problem with this sound card.(maybe others)
PROBLEM COMES FROM HARDWARE NOT SYSTEM SPECIFIC.
HEATING ISSUE OVERHEATING !!
AFTER 2 year usage of my laptop, cause sound chip to cut off speakers.
I googled, searched and many guys has the same issue like me.
SOLUTION IS SIMPLE,
1. FIND THE LOCATION OF THE SOUND CHIP.
2. PLACE A 1.5 mm COPPER PLATE ON TO THE CHIP.3cm x 4cm and 2mm thickness.
I am not joking guys, believe me there is no another way.We must COOL this ugly
sound chip.
NOTICE:Before, My local toshiba supporter tel me that I have to CHANGE
MAINBOARD for fixing the problem.AGAIN,THIS IS A
HARDWARE PROBLEM CAUSED BY CONNEXANT SOUND CART

[Bug 80893] Re: [Feisty] Inaudible audio upon resuming from suspend-to-disk

2007-06-07 Thread ercan
Hi, I ve just noticed that, when the sound is not audible from the
speakers of my laptop, I plug my headphones in and I can hear the sound
from the headphone perfectly. When I plug out, no sound again.

HP nx8220
Ubuntu Feisty 2.6.20-16-generic

Cheers,
Ercan

[Bug 80893] Re: [Feisty] Inaudible audio upon resuming from suspend-to-disk

2007-06-02 Thread ercan
I'd like to share the results of the trials to solve this problem on my Ubuntu
Feisty 2.6.20-16-generic, running on my HP nx8220 Laptop. I have the same
problem, no sound after hibernate. A soft restart solves the problem though, no
battery unplug needed, but still annoying.
Changing HIBERNATE_MODE=platform did not help.
Then I installed the patch (
http://rookery.ubuntu.com/~kyle/kernels/salgado/2007-04-25/ ) without reverting
the change on HIBERNATE_MODE. Did not help.
Then I changed HIBERNATE_MODE back to shutdown. It did not help either.

I actually want to deinstall this kernel patch, is there a way to do
that? Because after installing it, error messages flow on my screen
during the hibernation process, saying something about semaphores ( I
cant read well, they flow very fast) The hibernation completes
successfully though. But I am worried about the error messages.

BTW, my HP does not wake up after suspend (suspend to RAM), but I think
that's another issue.

Cheers,
Ercan
