[Bug 438868] [NEW] Address bar autocomplete doesn't always work

2009-09-29 Thread Eric "Starks"; Appleman
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

For the past few weeks, builds of Firefox 3.5, 3.6, and 3.7 have
exhibited a behavior where the autocomplete of the so-called awesome bar
will only work sporadically.

There are some times where the autocomplete will not work at all and
other times when it will appear for a few milliseconds after typing a
letter before disappearing.

I haven't been able to pin-point what causes this, but I have found that
restarting the browser resolves the issue until it occurs again.

This doesn't happen very often, but at least a few times each day.

Reproducible: Sometimes

[Bug 425852] Re: gnome-screenshot prompt no longer appears while app is in fullscreen mode and forces the cursor to be included in screenshots 99% of the time

2009-09-07 Thread Eric "Starks"; Appleman
Reproducible? Yes.

To recreate, open an application such as Firefox or MPlayer and enter
its fullscreen mode. Try to Printscreen or Alt-Printscreen. Observe that
the prompt will not appear until fullscreen mode is exited. If Escape is
pressed before exiting fullscreen mode, the hidden screenshot prompt
will be exited.

This anomaly only occurs when Desktop Effects are activated yet I don't
recall having this issue in Jaunty.

** Summary changed:

- gnome-screenshot prompt no longer appears while app is in fullscreen mode and
forces the cursor to be included in screenshots 99% of the time
+ When desktop effects are activated, gnome-screenshot prompt no longer appears
while app is in fullscreen mode and forces the cursor to be included in

[Bug 425852] [NEW] gnome-screenshot prompt no longer appears while app is in fullscreen mode and forces the cursor to be included in screenshots 99% of the time

2009-09-07 Thread Eric "Starks"; Appleman
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

In Ubuntu Karmic, taking a screenshot of an app like that has fullscreen
mode like MPlayer or Firefox cannot be done. The prompt to save the
image does not appear until after fullscreen mode has been exited.
Because of this, the resulting screencap may include undesired graphical
elemnts.

Furthermore, the screenshots will ALWAYS show the cursor, even if it
disappeared due to inactivity, unless tricky split-second commands are
done to exit fullscreen and save the image.

In Jaunty, fullscreen screenshots worked fine and the prompt would
appear.
