[Bug 1717340] Re: [artful] Keyboard Logitech G15 doesn't work after logging in to gnome

[Bug 1580480] [NEW] 16.04: overlapping german umlauts (but not all) with Cantarell
Public bug reported: I have exactly this bug: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1039770-start-0.html "Since the latest updates some, but not all, german umlauts are not displayed correctly. They overlap with a letter beside them. It's hard to describe, so i made a screenshot. http://www.paessler.org/umlauts.png As you can see, the menu-item "Büro" (left, third from top) and "Aktivitäten-Übersicht" at the bottom display wrong, while other umlauts (even in the same string) look correct. [Bug 861171] Re: Shutdown from greeter does nothing when multiple accounts open
Why are you talking about notifications and password prompts, the computer should shut down (by default) of course! It could prompt and say "X is logged in, are you really sure you want to shut down?" but nothing more. If an admin wants to disable it there should be a way to do that instead. Let's say I'm logged in but I'm not at home and my wife wants to shut down the computer. Of course she should be allowed to! Therefore I think setting org.freedesktop.consolekit.system.stop- multiple-users to allow_active=yes is a great and correct solution. What's missing there is a local override solution so and admin of a multi-seat server could turn it off for example without having it overwritten everytime policykit updates. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/861171 Title: Shutdown from greeter does nothing when multiple accounts open To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-session/+bug/861171/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1058533] [NEW] Quick way to list all installed applications of category
Public bug reported: My son is 5 years old and has a computer with Ubuntu. He should be able to browse the installed games on the computer but that's currently impossible. This would be possible with Gnome 2. The Unity dance with Dash -> the small All Applications icon -> Filter Results -> Games text-only label -> Expand additional results is just way to complicated. So I suggest bringing back category icons that show all installed software in those categories, and making them very discoverable. For example putting them on the initial dash screen.
