The full-screen applications that are minimized makes desktop freeze. I
tried it with LibreOffice Calc, same effect. All full-screen
applications cause this problem.

I minimized through a single window minimize button on the menu bar. Any
window is minimized or open program makes the desktop frezee. When
closed the desktop back to normal operation.
