Yes, I have the same problem with the connection , every <= 5 minutes connection unstablished, i dont know about kernel 3.9, I tried the wireless connection, but still the same, please fix it the bugs, and I like the latest version of ubuntu aka "Raring Ringtail" , I suggestion, please to make its LTS version also, thanks guys
