[Bug 115687] Re: please backport sun-java6 (6-02-0ubuntu1) from gutsy (was: java6 update1 is released, please update)

[Bug 23281] Re: Selecting mozilla-thunderbird as the preferred mail app still launches evolution
Woopie, your patch works, but only if TBird is not running. Is it possible to fix it so that it will create a new compose window even if TBird is running? [Bug 34247] Re: Trash always empty.
I've experienced the same since upgrading to Feisty (I did not have this problem on Edgy). Files in ~/.Trash do now show up when the Trash applet is launched. However, files in .Trash under / or any other partition DO show up in the Trash applet. The only ones that don't show up are those in ~/.Trash. My home folder is in a separate partition encrypted with encfs, meaning it's a FUSE filesystem. So my guess is that the Trash applet isn't picking up any files that reside on FUSE filesystems. -- Trash always empty. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/34247 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

PS. It seems that my problem is already fixed in Gutsy (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-vfs/+bug/81336). Sorry for the duplicate post. [Bug 90795] Re: Unmount of remote CIFS shares fails with timeout on system shutdown
I experience the same problem, both previously with Edgy, and now with Feisty. My CIFS shares are not mounted at boot time, but rather manually. It displays a timeout error message for each share (this is in text mode, after X has already shut down). ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Confirmed -- Unmount of remote CIFS shares fails with timeout on system shutdown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/90795 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 106783] Re: Multimedia keys don't work feisty
I'm experiencing the same problem after upgrading from edgy to feisty. (MM keys worked in edgy.) I have keys mapped correctly to next/previous track, but they are unresponsive in QuodLibet. This affects: - next track - previous track - play/pause - stop volume up/down keys work fine. I have a laptop (Dell Inspiron e1405 with multimedia keys), and an external keyboard (which I use with the same laptop, also with multimedia keys--a Microsoft keyboard), and the results are the same whether I use the laptop built-in buttons or the keys on the external keyboard. The system is detecting the keys, because I can change the key bindings in Gnome. So it's just quodlibet that's not receiving the signal. The problem seems to be quodlibet specific, as in Banshee the keys work fine. [Bug 106783] Re: Multimedia keys don't work feisty

[Bug 81348] nautilus very slow if connection to network shares is lost
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus (Using Edgy) I have several CIFS network shares (both Windows and Linux) mounted on my system. Some are bookmarked in Nautilus. If the connection to those shares is lost (ie, network problems, wireless signal lost), it takes Nautilus a VERY LONG time to recognize that and unmount them. For about 5 minutes or so, any Nautilus operations on my local filesystem are very slow, and Nautilus will go inactive for up to a minute or two at a time. I am not attempting to access the remote shares (which are no longer available)--this occurs with any file operations on my local filesystem. Perhaps this is related to bug #32873 as it seems similar in nature. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- nautilus very slow if connection to network shares is lost https://launchpad.net/bugs/81348 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 70718] Re: gnome-obex-send cannot find devices
I confirm this bug, running a clean install of edgy. gnome-obex-send only works from command line with -d bt address parameter. gnome-obex- send gui (or sent to from nautilus) will not discover the bt device (mine is a palm PDA). I ran sudo hciconfig hci0 inqmode but that didn't fix the problem. Since this is something that worked in Dapper and is broken in Edgy, I'd recommend setting this bug to a higher priority.
