[Bug 1809407] Re: [nvidia] Corrupted wallpaper after resuming from suspend or hibernation

2019-07-20 Thread Francisco Lopes
@vanvugt can this fix be backported to gnome-3-32 branch? I just talked
to the package maintainer in Arch repos and they said 3.33.4 is odd
numbered, hence not a stable release, so we would have to wait for 3.34,
but given how this is affecting many people I wished it sooner rather
than later. They said they track 3.32, so if it gets backported, the
package registry will pick it.

Notice also I've the top bars with a transparence effect, I don't recall
whether I have enabled this optionally in the past. When I maximize the
windows, they don't use transparence anymore, and hence there're no
artifacts.

[Bug 1284695] Re: [xorg-edgers] Graphical artifacts in window menu bars

2014-02-25 Thread Francisco Lopes
@sarvatt, ok, just for your information, the last set of updates didn't
change anything, I just received them half an hour after you commented.
Also, it's really confuse where I should report xorg-edgers issues, I've
gone to the xorg bugzilla but I didn't have an option referring to xorg-
edgers, didn't have an advice how to file xorg-edgers stuff there, only
here on launchpad and also, in the options for reporting a bug on
freedesktop, I have to say what component of xorg is being affected,
which I don't know. Can you provide some info on this or where I can
find it to just report a bug on edgers PPA updates?

Regards

@dmarinescu do you want me to post here the error logs when using the
/usr/bin/gdb? because I can state right away, the errors are pointed in
python source code lines for gdb plugins. And those python lines are
exactly non-conformant with python 3.

[Bug 1265217] [NEW] Can't use GDB 7.6.1-ubuntu with libstdc++ pretty printers, nor use it for debbuging Go

2013-12-31 Thread Francisco Lopes
Public bug reported:

As mentioned in Bug #1166304, because of use of python 3 for building
GDB, a lot of python 2 plugins seems to not be supported anymore by
default??

Yesterday I was trying to debug STL stuff and stumbled upon the same errors as
referred in #1166304.
Today when trying to debug Go I stumbled upon:

GNU gdb (GDB) 7.6.1-ubuntu
This GDB was configured as x86_64-linux-gnu.
For bug reporting instructions, please see:
http://www.gnu.org/software/gdb/bugs/...
Lendo símbolos de /home/francisco/.go/src/playground/sample...concluído.
File /usr/local/src/go/src/pkg/runtime/runtime-gdb.py, line 358
print s, ptr['goid'], %8s % sts[long((ptr['status']))], blk.function

SyntaxError: invalid syntax
(gdb) q

So, it seems with the default GDB I can't do several things because of
adoption of python 3 (http://alexgaynor.net/2013/dec/30/about-python-3)?

Can I switch it to use python 2 so it's usable again, or should I just
build my own gdb as I'm about to do?

As mentioned in Bug #1166304, because of use of python 3 for building
GDB, a lot of python 2 plugins seems to not be supported anymore by
  default??

Yesterday I was trying to debug STL stuff and stumbled upon the same errors
as referred in #1166304.
Today when trying to debug Go I stumbled upon:

[Bug 1166304] Re: FFe for gdb 7.6

2013-12-30 Thread Francisco Lopes
I've upgraded to Ubuntu Saucy, and now, the issue refered by Alastair
Rankine is biting me. What's up? now gdb is being built with python3 and
I can't use libstdc++ pretty printers anymore?? It was essential for me.

[Bug 1066208] Re: power indicator shows a mouse battery as a laptop battery

2013-10-09 Thread Francisco Lopes
Should this be already fixed on 13.04, because I suffer the same issue
since I connected a magic mouse to the system. I've already disconnected
the mouse, and turned off bluetooth, but the another laptop battery is
still listed.

Also, after reboot the extra battery has gone. But I think it'll come
back after the mouse gets connected again till a new reboot.
