2008-05-11 Thread Francisco de Assis Prates
I have the same problem in hardy, since I've set properties of an user
through "users-admin" tool.

After restart the session, the user list was not show anymore.

[Bug 151464] [gutsy] gnome-dictionary-applet doesn't get focus with compiz

2007-10-10 Thread Francisco de Assis Prates
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

Running compiz, gnome-dictionary-applet doesn't get focus with a mouse
click, what makes impossible entering a word by keyboard and look for
its definition. However, a word can be entered by paste with the context
menu (right button works). With metacity, gnome-dictionary-applet works
fine.

my system:
- laptop pentium M 1.6GHz 768MB RAM
- Intel i915 Graphics Card
- logitech usb optical mouse

2007-10-05 Thread Francisco de Assis Prates
Hi, Ashley:

Posting from "2.6.22-12-generic" : ) my system is perfectly responsive,
now.

Of course, there is the side effect of acpi disabled, about power
saving/monitoring, but my ubuntu is now usable.

Thank you!

[Bug 112367] ODBCConfig could be a icon on Administration menu

2007-05-04 Thread Francisco de Assis Prates
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unixodbc-bin

Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04

After installing unixodbc-bin package by synaptic, there is no hint how
to execute ODBCConfig or other utilities from the package.

I think an icon on System>Administration would be the right think, but
it's up to you.

It would be nice if ODBCConfig suggest us what packages should be
installed in order to have the my database driver working properly.

thanks in advance.
