[Bug 944271] Re: iwlwifi: Microcode SW error detected. Restarting 0x2000000
My system is running 12.04, and has this bug. $ uname -a Linux frank-K95VM 3.2.0-34-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Thu Nov 15 10:48:16 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux After disabling wireless N networking I now have a solid connection. $ cat /etc/modprobe.d/iwlagn.conf options iwlagn 11n_disable=1 Thanks to Munzir for reporting this bug, and thanks to Ubuntu for a great system. I hope to see the fix land in 12.04 soon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/944271 Title: iwlwifi: Microcode SW error detected. [Bug 87317] Re: Screensaver just detects idle time on one screen
I have just done a fresh install of Hardy and can confirm that the problem is exactly the same. One thing that might be important is that the monitors are configured as separate X screens rather than using Twinview. It might not make any difference, but I'm using the drivers directly from NVIDIA (version 169.12) because my GPU wasn't recognized by Hardy as being compatible. -- Screensaver just detects idle time on one screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/87317 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 95886] Re: Wrong keyboard layout after installation (US instead of FI)
During login my keyboard layout is US. After logging in the layout is France, which is what I have configured via System/Preferences/Keyboard The following sequence of events led to this problem - Installed 8.04, keyboard layout was fine - installed NVIDIA drivers using EnvyNG, forcing manual install because Hardy/EnvyNG didn't recognize the card - keyboard layout still fine - tried to configure my location in Clock Preferences, but that seemed to lock up X server at least partially - after fiddling around a bit, I rebooted (sudo reboot now) - A blue screen appeared giving me 3 options, one of which was to repair my x-server or something like that. - Big mistake here; I chose the repair option instead of just rebooting - Ubuntu replaced my xorg.conf and apparently did some other things also - the keyboard layout was now set to USA - I reset it to France via System/Preferences/Keyboard - But the layout during login remains USA -- Wrong keyboard layout after installation (US instead of FI) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95886 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
