[Bug 284044] Re: seahorse passphrase dialogs don't accept input

2008-10-24 Thread Fred Senis
Logs tell us that there is indeed a cross problem with SCIM :

 Oct 24 16:06:08 phloston gnome-keyring-daemon[11908]: couldn't parse
dialog response from ask tool: Le fichier de clés contient la ligne
« /usr/bin/scim » qui n'est ni une paire de valeurs de clé, ni un
groupe, ni un commentaire

[translated : The keyring file contains /usr/bin/scim which is neither
a key-pair, a group or a commentary.]

After a bit of launchpad digging, it may be similar to bug #276159 as
the debug output off a manual launch of gnome-keyring-manager or
seahorse gives the same output on startup :

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ seahorse
** Message: init gpgme version 1.1.6
/usr/bin/scim
The messenger is now down

2008-10-20 Thread Fred Senis
This problem also occurs when using Enigmail or even gpg at the command line :
(sorry french output for gpg)

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gpg -a -s dhcpd.conf

[HERE POPS OUT THE PASSPHRASE DIALOG in which I supply the valid passphrase]
gpg: Phrase de passe invalide ; réessayez ...

[IT THEN GOES TO SIMPLE COMMAND LINE MODE in which I type the same passphrase]

[Bug 139557] [Gutsy Alternate CD] IWL4965 firmware not included for install.

2007-09-14 Thread Fred Senis
Public bug reported:

On booting the Gutsy Alternate CD, initialization of the iwl4965 ABGN
card fails because it looks for the microcode file
'/lib/firmware/iwlwifi-4965.ucode' but file does not exist (even in the
subfolder /lib/firmware/2.6.22-10-generic/ ).

Anyway if you continue the installation, iwl4965 installs fine
