works very well. So it's definitely a regression.

Yes, installing the proprietary AMD fglrx driver solves this problem.
That's why I am currently using fglrx-legacy 8.97.100.7 on Ubuntu 13.04.

[Bug 998196] [NEW] can not launch the first program of a previous search

2012-05-11 Thread Géza Búza
Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce:
1; press Super key (the search field is empty)
2; type ter into the search field
3; now the first result is Terminal, press Enter to start it
4; press Super key again
5; now the search field contains the word ter and the Terminal is the first
item in the result list
If you press Enter now, nothing happens. I expect the terminal to start a new
instance like in step 3.

Yes, segmentation fault occurs under Ubuntu 12.04 even with the newer
g++-4.6-arm-linux-gnueabi cross-compiler.

[Bug 927111] Re: compiz crashed with SIGSEGV in g_datalist_id_set_data_full()

2012-03-11 Thread Géza Búza
It is working with the latest updates. I mean there is no crash, but the
external display is still blank.
The dialog window shows 1920x1080 as resolution, while the monitor complaining
about wrong settings:
Please change your input timing to 1920x1080@60Hz or any other monitor listed
timing as per the monitor specifications.
(There is no proprietary display driver indtalled.)

[Bug 952486] [NEW] External monitor on display port has no sync with radeon driver

2012-03-11 Thread Géza Búza

The GNOME display settings dialog shows exacty this recommended setting as

[Bug 804662] Re: jockey-gtk crashed with TypeError in _execute_child(): execv() arg 2 must contain only strings

2012-03-03 Thread Géza Búza
It is still an issue in 12.04 Beta1.
If I select to install the propietry driver it works well, but installing the
open source version fails.

[Bug 820492] Re: kworker/u:5: page allocation failure

2012-02-17 Thread Géza Búza
I can not reproduce the bug with the updated kernel linux-
image-2.6.38-13-generic.

System did not come up with kernel 3.3, because AMD's proprietary
display driver fglrx raised an error on loading the kernel module.
Without fglrx module it booted up well without this kworker issue.

[Bug 490086] Re: audacious 2.2: mpeg plugin play-length calculation dont work

2010-09-27 Thread Géza Búza
I can confirm this bug in v2.3 under ubuntu.
A possible workaround is to turn on Parse XING headers option in MPEG Audio
Plugin. On the other hand if you turn off the Enable fast play-length
calculation, length won't be displayed at all as described previously.
I attached an audio file, so you can reproduce the bug.

** Attachment added: It can produce the play-length problem.

2) Version: 2.30.0.1-0ubuntu1

3) Gwibber was started before I hibernated the notebook. After resume I
wanted to start it from the menu. The main window should have shown.

4) The gwibber process started and than exited every time I tried to
start it.

There is a workaround: you have to kill the gwibber-service process.

[Bug 428381] Re: login with gdm failed

2009-10-09 Thread Géza Búza
I just tried out the karmic beta 1 live cd and it works as expected. So
I think this issue only affects alpha x versions.

[Bug 223954] Re: Brightness control still has major bugs

2009-10-05 Thread Géza Búza
The problem also exists in 9.10 beta1 Ubuntu karmic (development branch), live
CD.
This issue can be reproduced in other ways, regardless of using Fn+ keys or
GNOME Brightness Applet:
- change virtual terminal (sudo chvt 1) and back with Ctrl+Alt+F7
- switch to anther user and back
- close the lid and open again

[Bug 392701] Re: [karmic] suspend not works on thinkpad T500

2009-10-05 Thread Géza Búza
I just tried the suspend function on my Thinkpad T500 with 9.10 beta1
Ubuntu karmic (development branch), live CD. It worked perfectly except
one side effect: the wifi did not come up. I think the problem is with
the network-manager 0.8~a~git.20090923t064445.b20cef2-0ubuntu2, because
the sudo /etc/init.d/network-manager restart fixed it.

[Bug 428381] [NEW] login with gdm failed

2009-09-12 Thread Géza Búza
Public bug reported:

1) Ubuntu version: karmic alpha 5
2) package version: gnome-keyring-2.27.90-0ubuntu2
3) I expected the desktop to show up after that I entered the password.
4) After entering my password the gdm login window appears again. When I used
the live cd this login/logout process loops. (I can not change virtual
terminal, the screen get messed up.)
