[Bug 717850] Re: Cannot start banshee: System.DllNotFoundException: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0

2011-02-15 Thread Gabriel Burt
So /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so exists but not
/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0, with the trailing .0?

Sounds like the gtk-sharp package needs patching/updating.

[Bug 391588] Re: banshee fails to run on arm

2011-01-14 Thread Gabriel Burt
Oliver, in terms of ARM issues, bug 607291 only references bug 619981,
which doesn't seem to provide justification for this bug remaining open.
Can anybody still reproduce these native segfaults? And if so, can they
install GStreamer, GLib, and Gtk+ debug packages to get a good native
stack trace? Banshee 1.4.3 is quite old as this point, as is the
version of Mono it was probably running on.

2010-11-09 Thread Gabriel Burt
Tobin, that log doesn't show the crash. If you got the log from
~/.config/banshee-1/log, note that it is overwritten every time you
launch Banshee. The InterfaceActionService not starting is a huge issue

[Bug 474514] Re: Banshee very slow when interacting with track lists

2009-11-18 Thread Gabriel Burt
Banshee sets sqlite's PRAGMA synchronous = OFF, so I'm not sure it's
anything to do with the filesystem.

This query (among others) is way too long; it makes me think your
indexes are either broken/missing or not being used correctly.

Executed in 979ms SELECT COUNT(*), SUM(CoreTracks.FileSize) FROM
CoreTracks,CoreArtists,CoreAlbums, CoreSmartPlaylistEntries WHERE
CoreArtists.ArtistID = CoreTracks.ArtistID AND CoreAlbums.AlbumID =
CoreTracks.AlbumID AND CoreSmartPlaylistEntries.TrackID =
CoreTracks.TrackID AND CoreSmartPlaylistEntries.SmartPlaylistID = 2

Can you paste here the output of running this:

sqlite3 ~/.config/banshee-1/banshee.db .schema
CoreSmartPlaylistEntries

After doing that, backup your database again (if needed) and try running

sqlite3 ~/.config/banshee-1/banshee.db analyze

and restart Banshee, see if things are better.

[Bug 231633] Re: git push over http and webdav fails - Hardy

2008-12-04 Thread Gabriel Burt
I ran into this problem too, but it's because we both didn't follow the
instructions. In addition to the setup you mentioned, you also need to
run (on the remote repo):

$ git --bare update-server-info
$ mv hooks/post-update.sample hooks/post-update

(the second command didn't work for me - the hook was already in the
right place)

This is from the git documentation:

[Bug 161954] Mono.Cairo fails to include cairo 1.2 features

2007-11-10 Thread Gabriel Burt
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mono

It appears that when the packages for Mono.Cairo were compiled, #if
CAIRO_1_2 was equal to false and therefore is missing methods/features
it should have.

You can verify the Mono.Cairo.dll doesn't have the methods by trying to
compile a program that uses them against it, or by examining the result
of monodiss.

This bug has caused us significant headache in Banshee and it would be
great to see it fixed in an update for gutsy.

On Ubuntu Edgy with Firefox set as the default browser, if I do not already
have Firefox open and I click on any of the links listed under Help - Web

Error: No running window found

Comment #1 from Aaron Bockover (banshee developer, points: 14)
2006-11-30 22:41 UTC [reply]

This would be a bug in gnome-open most likely. All I do is call
Banshee.Web.Browser.Open which in turn calls Gnome.Url.Show (by default), which
in turn should call gnome-open - either way, it should work and isn't an issue
in Banshee. Open the bug with Ubuntu.
