[Bug 1610650] Re: can't sync sources
This sync errors occur randomly and when i have reported this to Alan Pope he contacted the system admins and the servers ran fine for a couple of days after they have been restarted, but now it came back again. For people who are experiencing 503 service unavailable error this could also be of a low buffer size in git(mostly experienced when syncing ndk repository). Whoever facing an issue while syncing repository of above 2gb or more(in this case the ndk repo) change your http.postbuffer to a higher value in git by running this command. git config --global http.postBuffer 524288000 (you can also double this value to 1048576000) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1610650 Title: can't sync sources To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/phablet-tools/+bug/1610650/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi Actually I have upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 but the problem of slow transfer of files from system to usb device still remains.I don't know whether I have to raise the new bug report or not . Please suggest thank You On Mon, Jul 30, 2012 at 8:09 AM, Christopher M. Penalver christopher.penal...@gmx.com wrote: Ganesh, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p linux replace-with-bug-number Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please do not test the kernel in the daily folder, but the one all the way at the bottom. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. As well, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream', and comment as to why specifically you were unable to test it. But just two days back I have reinstalled PP12.04 and I am happy that USC shows the ratings, recommendations and the books section actually shows books. Thank you very much for your time and support. From 1.3 and 1.4, CPU takes long time to get CS, and looks like it is very odd, maybe some device driver disabled irq for long time, so some suggestions for you: - someone reported realtek wifi driver may disable irq for long time sometime, so please disable your wifi and do the file transfer test to see if there are any improvements. - if no improvements, run the tests below to post the reports: dd if=/dev/null of=/media/udisk bs=120K count=1K /media/udisk is the mount point of your usb mass storage disk, please be careful to do the tests since it may destroy your data in usb disk. Re: [Bug 760131] Re: Power consumption raised significantly in natty
i am running 3.0.3 compiled from source in natty , and not experiencing any battery or heat issues... i get 11 -14 w max consumption in ... and upto 19-20 W on AC,i have kept cpu freq to 'ondemand' and also i have turned on pcie.aspm=force, I guess the issue is fixed in 3.0 kernel series i dint apply any patches, or tweaks, just did a simple menuconfig. the most important thing is laptop doesnt heat now (60 degrees in 2.6.37 v/s 55 in 3.0.3) mine is a HP g42, Core i3-370M, 3GB DDR3, hopefully i dint troll On 9/2/11, fejes 760...@bugs.launchpad.net wrote: Even if that were so, when my laptop goes into battery mode, with all of the aggressive power saving modes throttling the CPU, etc, it's unacceptable for it to be running so hot. I wouldn't normally care if it's plugged in and sucking up power, but when the power is supposed to be scaled back, it shouldn't be taking up more power ( even at the cost of decreased responsiveness.) In any case, as of yesterday, after a kernel update, my laptop is now consuming 14-17W of power when on battery, as opposed to the 19-25W it was taking last week. While not as good as the 11-14W range I had going with Maverick, it's an improvement. I don't recall seeing anything in the kernel changelog that would indicate a change to the power consumption, but I'm not a kernel expert. In any case, I have not altered any of my power saving optimizations between the two tests, and I had used the force acpi trick much earlier on. If it stays this way for now, that's not a bad sign. -- You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/760131 Title: Power consumption raised significantly in natty Status in Release Notes for Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in “linux” source package in Natty: Incomplete Status in “linux” source package in Oneiric: Triaged Bug description: This is a regression moving from maverick-natty.
