[Bug 216990] Re: error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so
I'll test this next week when our internal unstable tree is synced against the Hardy repo. -- error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 190303] Re: kdcop hangs when started
This still occurs as of the repo state of last Friday. I'll try to track down the issue on Monday next week by running kdcop through strace and ltrace. -- kdcop hangs when started https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/190303 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 216990] Re: error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so
This seems like a good option under the circumstances. Have you talked with Thorsten Kukuk on a way that will be supported by upstream? -- error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 216990] Re: error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so
I agree that this is a problem, however THIS particular report issue is regarding the flood of messages to the log which IS a configuration issue. The load issue you're experiencing is a seperate, but more serious issue that needs a seperate bug opened for. -- error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 216990] Re: error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so
Until common-password and common-auth are controlled by debconf regarding adding in the optional modules that make sense, I'm agreeing with Thiago here, just disable pam_smbpass from the configuration. -- error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 216990] Re: error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so
ims, this is easily worked around by removing or commenting out the following line from /etc/pam.d/common-password: password optional pam_smbpass.so nullok use_authtok use_first_pass waltc, this is definately unrelated, as this is purely a warning from the PAM stack saying that it cannot load the pam_smbpass.so module which has nothing to do with NAS mounting whatsoever. back to discussion about this bug... What needs to occur for this ideally is that debconf would be used to manage common-password instead of having it statically in the libpam-runtime package. This way if you install libpam-smbpass, you'd get the needed entry in the file and if it isn't, it wouldn't be present, thus not causing this warning. -- error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 216990] Re: error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so
This patch looks dangerous, since it'd mask other legitimate reasons for not dlopening. While the module might not be required, this will make debugging a PITA. -- error in auth.log when switch user -- pam_smbpass.so https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 183928] Re: update iwlwifi to latest version
The 1.2.0 driver has problems with newer releases of the chipset in combination with WPA2 + radius installations. This is why Fedora 8 already ships 1.2.23 and 9 will likely be shipping 1.2.25, And after looking at the OpenSuSE Factory which will likely be the next SLES/SLED release, they are on 1.2.24. Please reconsider this as it will have negative impact on users that have machines using the Intel wireless chipsets supported with this driver and sites that have strong Enterprise requirements. -- update iwlwifi to latest version https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183928 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 190303] [NEW] kdcop hangs when started
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase-bin When I start kdcop on the development release of Hardy Heron, it hangs with a blocked UI until terminated instead of listing the running dcop client applications for the given logged in user. I've yet to strace this, however I'm positive that this bug is not present on stock KDE, as I have KDE 3.5.8 installed from sources on a machine at home. I don't know if this is specific to Google's environment or not, so if I can please get someone outside to confirm, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. ** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- kdcop hangs when started https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/190303 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

This is still occurring on Hardy. The install I'm on is based off the tree as of the 22nd of January.
