[Bug 86388] Fiesty Herd 4 x64 Live CD - ipg driver does not autoload

2007-02-19 Thread Gary Griffin
Public bug reported:

X64 LiveCD detected my Sundance IC PLUS 1000 network hardware (listed in
lspci) but does not automatically load the ipg module. I had to manually
load (modprobe ipg) to get it to work. Dapper and Edgy detects and loads
automatically. I have an additional Linksys (tulip) ethernet on the
system that was detected and loaded. Not sure if that matters.

eth0 - PCI card with Linksys;
eth1 - mobo IC PLUS

[Bug 79344] Re: Fiesty Herd 2 Live CD will not load on AMD64 system

2007-01-16 Thread Gary Griffin
When I insert the bluetooth USB after boot, the dmesg is:

usb 5-4.4: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5
usb 5-4.4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
pegasus: v0.6.13 (2005/11/13), Pegasus/Pegasus II USB Ethernet driver

But the device does not work. It does not show in lsusb.

[Bug 79344] Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter stalls boot

2007-01-15 Thread Gary Griffin
Problem has been tracked down to using a Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter.
If this device in connected, the system will not boot. It hangs in the
network stage of the boot. Removing the device and the system boots
fine. The system does not boot with Edgy either.

[Bug 79344] Fiesty Herd 2 Live CD will not load on AMD64 system

2007-01-14 Thread Gary Griffin
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source

I attempted to load both amd64 and i386 Herd2 desktop Live CD. Neither
would load on my AMD64 (ABIT AX8 mobo) system. I tried a variety of boot
options including noauto nousb nonet noapic nolapic pci=noacpi nomce .
The progress meter on both systems ran to the 3rd segment of the meter
and then nothing happened. The system did not display any error
information, it just hung at that point. The amd64 desktop CD had an
additional issue in that it was a black/white screen with the progress
meter.
