[Bug 58377] Re: System Boot hangs when the RAM is changed.
I have no idea of how to do that memtest, and I don't have the time to figure it out. Nut when I think about it, I may have damaged my cards since I have kept them unprotacted long times. I think that's the problem, atleast until someone else reports the same problem. It've worlked fine since I posted the report. -- System Boot hangs when the RAM is changed. https://launchpad.net/bugs/58377 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 58377] System Boot hangs when the RAM is changed.
Public bug reported: Hi. I've been mixing my RAM-cards alot lately, and I found that most of the times when I booted my computer the system hangs on "Mounting Root Filesystem" (or whatever it's saying. It is the second thing it does). After rebooting it once (sometimes twice) it works. Pretty annoying. I run the latest Ubuntu on a I386 (Compaq Presanio). That's about all info I got. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- System Boot hangs when the RAM is changed. https://launchpad.net/bugs/58377 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
