I have no idea of how to do that memtest, and I don't have the time to
figure it out. Nut when I think about it, I may have damaged my cards
since I have kept them unprotacted long times. I think that's the
problem, atleast until someone else reports the same problem. It've
worlked fine since I posted the report.

Hi. I've been mixing my RAM-cards alot lately, and I found that most of
the times when I booted my computer the system hangs on "Mounting Root
Filesystem" (or whatever it's saying. It is the second thing it does).
After rebooting it once (sometimes twice) it works. Pretty annoying.

I run the latest Ubuntu on a I386 (Compaq Presanio). That's about all
info I got.
