[Bug 180544] Re: ipw2200 driver fails to load firmware (patch attached)

2008-06-04 Thread GeneW
I installed that patch to initramfs-tools and rebooted but am still
getting the same firmware errors. Looks like I'm re-installing Gibbon
until this bug gets fixed.

[Bug 64439] Re: hibernate is unreliable on on Lenovo 3000 N100

2006-10-12 Thread GeneW
Hibernate is now working again on the T42. Still running the
2.6.17-10-386 Kernel but the latest batch of other updates must have
fixed it.

[Bug 64439] Re: hibernate is unreliable on on Lenovo 3000 N100

2006-10-10 Thread GeneW
Hibernate causes a Kernel panic for me right when it starts to
hibernate. This only happens with the 2.6.17 kernel, 2.6.15 works
correctly. I'm running a Thinkpad T42.

Uname -a:
Linux ewilson-laptop 2.6.17-10-386 #2 Fri Oct 6 00:34:13 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux

/var/log/messages is not very helpful:
Oct 10 07:28:45 localhost gnome-power-manager: (ewilson) Hibernating computer
because the DBUS method Hibernate() was invoked
Oct 10 07:30:34 localhost syslogd 1.4.1#18ubuntu6: restart.

[Bug 51324] Buttons on "human" theme have cross-hatch artifacts

2006-06-29 Thread GeneW
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-themes

In 6.0.6, the buttons in the human theme have some graphical corruption
causing them to have criss-crossed dotted lines across them. I'm seeing
this on an IBM Thinkpad T42 with the Radeon Mobility 7500 video chipset.
This does not seem to occur in the other themes.

Some other folks are seeing this too:
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=189750

** Affects: gnome-themes (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Untriaged
 Status: Unconfirmed
