Public bug reported: I very recently upgraded to 13.10 from 13.04. All fine. Now the menu that is in the extreme top tight corner - containing shutdown, system updates is simple not present. During a forced shotdown i got: modem_manager[4720] Could not get system bus. In kernal 3.2 it caused a crash, which is known. My assistive technologies are off. I get the exact same message trying to run the supplied example circuits.
