[Bug 324854] Re: DRI2: (UXA) white transparency artifacts with compiz [patch]

2009-04-27 Thread George Stephanos
Using GMA 950, with direct rendering i'm getting 3 or 4 spf (not a typo)
which is equivalent to 0.3 fps. And with indirect rendering i'm getting
the alpha blending problem. Anyway to fix both these problems ? How are
you guys getting proper speeds with direct rendering ?

[Bug 324854] Re: DRI2: (UXA) white transparency artifacts with compiz [patch]

2009-04-27 Thread George Stephanos
Tried the Tormod packages and compiled the Eric Anholt fix and still the same
thing.
I'm using kernel 2.6.28 on Intepid with intel driver 2.6.3-0ubuntu.
I'm sure this bug isn't only related to mesa.

2009-04-12 Thread George Stephanos

and still doesn't work.
Is this the problem you people mean ?
Opacity 100% https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/871134/gedit1.png
Opacity 90% https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/871134/gedit2.png
Or should I open another bug ?

[Bug 163865] Re: something steals focus of fullscreen 3d apps

2009-03-05 Thread George Stephanos
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 32457 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/32457

Ok, i have this bug too. But I'm using a point-and-click game (mostly
using mouse) in dosbox and it still happens. It's not about the mouse.
It just steals focus from almost everything that's fullscreen.

[Bug 333852] Re: window doesn't redraw

2009-02-24 Thread George Stephanos
I downloaded the source and tried compiling it but it needed the dev
packages of course. After installing them, even without compiling
anything, it worked somehow. Strange...

[Bug 318180] Re: gnubik fails to launch; prints "cannot get suitable visual" to terminal and exits

2009-02-24 Thread George Stephanos
I think the apps are the ones who should adopt to X and not the
opposite. This patch makes gnubik work for a while till someone does
something serious about it.

Atomix's window never redraws except after forcing it to redraw by shading or
minimizing and restoring it.
This bug happens on Intrepid, didn't try on other releases of ubuntu.
The version is 2.14.0-1ubuntu1.

** Affects: atomix (Ubuntu)

[Bug 318180] Re: gnubik fails to launch; prints "cannot get suitable visual" to terminal and exits

2009-02-24 Thread George Stephanos
I have the same on an Intel 945GM. The thing is the new X doesn't
prepare visuals for all the glxfbconfigs it gets. From my glxinfo and
the ones above, i found that there are only 3 which get loaded and
gnubik needs another. I tried the "GLXVisuals all" option which prepares
all glxvisuals but this makes me lose those 3 and that makes compiz
saying it can't find a visual thought gnubik works with that option.
