[Bug 830915] Re: Error during kernel upgrade: Could not locate dkms.conf file
@Syslog.eu: This simple addition allowed me to stop flailing and zero in on the problem! The "Could not locate dkms.conf file" error wasn't enough. Knowing what it was looking for IMMEDIATELY showed me what the problem was. For whatever reason, the version number reflected in the folder /var/lib/dkms/nvidia/ was *not* the same as the installed driver version. As a result, the contained symlink `source` was also pointed to the wrong version number. Renaming the folder to the installed version and updating the symlink allowed dkms to successfully rebuild the driver. I can only assume the error was a fatfinger on my part as the incorrect version doesn't exist. I hope your simple addition makes it's way upstream so it can be useful to others. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/830915 Title: Error during kernel upgrade: Could not locate dkms.conf file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dkms/+bug/830915/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 62430] Re: rhythmbox doesn't do anything with .pls given on the command line
2015 checking in. Why is this still a bug NINE years later? Running Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, FF v38.0, Rhythmbox 3.0.2. When clicking a .pls link within FF, FF launches Rhythmbox, and appears that Rhythm box indeed reads the .pls file (at least it did from SomaFM), and places appropriate entries in the 'radio' category, but it does NOT *play* that file unless the user manually clicks the play button. Haven't these devs ever listened to music before? How is this still a painful, multi-step process requiring 40 minutes of research to resolve? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/62430 Title: rhythmbox doesn't do anything with .pls given on the command line To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/rhythmbox/+bug/62430/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
