[Bug 2059308] [NEW] please update the bmake package to fix critical bugs

2024-03-27 Thread Greg A. Woods
Public bug reported:

The BMake package seems stuck on an ancient version (20200710).

There have been numerous critical bugs fixed in bmake since that
release, and indeed there have been many new upstream releases since
then too.

Please update to the latest upstream release, thanks!

Thanks for that Curtis. Unfortunately there's no evidence that's the
problem.

2014-09-07 Thread Greg A
Sorry for the delay.

I can't reproduce the crash, but instead when trying to unmount the
drive it gets stuck at "Searching /dev/sdb partitions". Even after
closing the Gparted window, I am left with three processes:

greg@lmh:~$ ps -A | grep gparted
15719 ?00:00:00 gparted-pkexec
15720 ?00:00:00 gparted
15769 ?00:00:03 gpartedbin

This happens with both the repostitory gparted, and with the verson in
your ppa.

[Bug 1233712] [NEW] Shut Down / Suspend / Restart no longer appear in HUD

2013-10-01 Thread Greg A
Public bug reported:

In 13.04 we could Log Out, Shut Down, Suspend and Restart using the HUD.
(Since these items are in the System indicator.)

In 13.10 this is no longer possible. This is a regression.

[Bug 1233029] [NEW] unity-scope-home not a dependency of ubuntu-desktop

2013-09-30 Thread Greg A
Public bug reported:

On my upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10 then my Dash showed only applications.
This regression meant all other scopes (though appearing to be selected)
did not produce any results.

It turns out that installing the unity-scope-home package fixed the
regression. In order to prevent more confused users, we should somehow
ensure this package is installed when upgrading.
