[Bug 510212] Re: update-manager: no branding. Is it legit?
One problem I see of using an Ubuntu-branded icon instead of the usual brown box is that it uses the "update-manager" icon in the gtk icon cache. So, depending on what icon theme a user uses (eg, the Ubuntu default or Faenza or whatever), the image on the main window will change. The only way to avoid that would be to hard-code an image, which is usually not a good idea, uniformity-wise. -- update-manager: no branding. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in update-manager. [Bug 555061] Re: gedit highlight error
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). It seems to me that the error message barre87 got has nothing to do with the upgrade not proceeding. Retrying (currentRetry: 0) 2010-05-13 11:18:13,787 ERROR doUpdate() failed completely Which, thanks to Google Translate, means that the server is overloaded.
