[Bug 1287296] Re: Folder sharing stuck when installing services
When I upgraded two of my ubuntu PCs that had been folder sharing with no problem, the ability to share folders was lost. My nautilus bookmarks across the network now return: "Failed to mount Windows share: invalid argument" When i tried to set a new folder to be shared, I was prompted to go through the same installation of samba, I believe, that Ruben wrote about. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1287296 Title: Folder sharing stuck when installing services To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus-share/+bug/1287296/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 531190] Re: upower (devkit-power) reporting bad data when AC cable is unplugged
Statquant, "tens of us who cannot use our laptops"? I've been trying to deal with this problem since 11.04 (or before) on my DELL mini 9 also, but I haven't posted anything about it. I just have been shutting down everytime I have to move from an outlet, and I imagine a LOT of other people are continuing to do likewise. For us potentially thousands of users who are reading this but don't have anything to add and don't know what to do and don't don't which bug is afflicting us, can someone update this and say if anything is working, please? Has the bug(s) actually been clearly diagnosed? This is a big inconvenience for a lot of people. Thank you in advance for the guidance. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/531190 Title: upower (devkit-power) reporting bad data when AC cable is unplugged To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/devicekit-power/+bug/531190/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 431217] Re: package ttf-mscorefonts-installer 2.6 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Never mind. I reflashed the prior image again, and this time I moved the top status window over to the side of the screen. I did not close the drop-down terminal box. When I got back to the above setup, I was able to click the triangle, hide the terminal box and then click the underlying button. I also fixed a problem with one partition mentioned in fstab not being there. I doubt this caused the problem, but it was different this time around. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/431217 Title: package ttf-mscorefonts-installer 2.6 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 431217] Re: package ttf-mscorefonts-installer 2.6 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
I'm having this problem but in a critical way. I've had to flash back to a 10.04 install of ubuntu, and I am now near the end of an upgrade to 10.10, however, the install has stopped! I have the upgrade window with the status bar (about 18 minutes remaining), and the Terminal text box has opened below this even though I closed it just a few minutes ago. The last line is: Preparing to replace ttf-mscorefonts-installer 3.2 (using .../ttf-mscorefonts-installer_3.2ubuntu2_all.deb) ... Then the cursor in the form of an empty box. Behind this window, though, is what appears to be an End-User License Agreement, BUT I CANNOT SEE IT! I can only see the left edge of the underlying window. Neither the top window nor the bottom window will move. The Terminal will not collapse. Pressing "enter" accomplishes nothing. What am I supposed to do? Poweroff the machine during the upgrade? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/431217 Title: package ttf-mscorefonts-installer 2.6 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
