[Bug 277868] Re: Computer crashes with acx wireless network card

2009-07-09 Thread Guiohm
I have a D-Link DWL-520+ running on Jaunty final.
I had to remove it when I installed ubuntu, then deactivate Network Manager
(which is the faulty one and not the driver), then replugged the card and I
made a little script to connect automatically to my wifi AP (which is my
provider modem).

[Bug 357018] Re: (apr07) daily jaunty live CD (i386) freeze when X starts with D-Link DWL-520+ wifi card

2009-04-07 Thread Guiohm
** Description changed:

- I haven't tried any other jaunty live-cd on this machine. Hardy live-cd
- was ok.
+ Booting jaunty live-cd with D-Link DWL-520+ wifi card leads to a system
+ freeze. It happens with all combinations of noapic nolapic acpi=off.
+ when booting without options 'splash' ans 'quiet' I can see taht all
+ services starts return OK, then X server starts, mouse cursor appear and
+ system freeze.

- I tried all combinations (noapic nolapic acpi=off) and remove 'splash' an
'quiet' from boot line to see what happened :
- All services start OK. Always same behavior.
+ When I unplug the PCI wifi card, the problem disappear. It's not a
+ laptop PCMCIA card so I can't hotplug it when system runs.

- I haven't find how to start to command line or interactive boot.

[Bug 291760] Re: network-manager roams to (none) ((none))

2009-03-25 Thread Guiohm
Same problem here too on a macbook pro 2.1. Disconnections every 2 minutes and
I have to wait 2 minutes again to regain connection. The link is of very poor
quality : less than 3mbit/s. (can't even watch my ISP's tv streaming service)
Now I'm connected manually via iwconfig. No disconnections and good speed so
it's not a driver problem (ath9k).

Using jaunty alpha6 fresh install and up to date. Network-manager

The complete syslog file is attached and contains association errors at
the beginning because I changed my AP security from WPA PSK to WEP (just
in case).
