[Bug 628933] Re: pbuilder-dist and flexible configuration files
Hi Sigfried, Of course I use symlinks all the time, what do you want to tell me in your last comment? The goal is too use other urls of package archives in the chroots, but only for specific distriubutions. In the config snippet, posted initially, you see that there is the -backports included explicitly for hardy. The main problem is that the environment variables set via os.environ['XXX'] are not available in the configuration file. So question is why and how to workaround possible limitations with python in that case (If it is a python problem). [Bug 628933] Re: pbuilder-dist and flexible configuration files
Hi Sigfried, thanks to your fast reply. To hopefully clarify it more shortly: The old shell pbuilder-dist script had the possibility to add some variable exports somewhere like export DIST = $DISTRIBUTION export ARCH = $ARCHITECTURE This is not possible for me within the python script at least not with using s.t. like os.environ['DIST'] = distribution . So what I need is a solution to make use of the flexibility of the above pbuildrc config for setting specific MIRROR/OTHERMIRROR/COMPONENTS options for different distributions. I want to integrate packages from my ppa and other sources into the build-chroot on build process. And yes, I want to stay with the python script whenever possible :-) -- pbuilder-dist and flexible configuration files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/628933 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 228624] Re: DVD writer not working since hardy upgrade
Did somebody of you have tested to burn cd/dvd on console, disabling hal before? I had similar problems and worked around it with disabling hal. You have to prepare an isoimage (via your frontend tool of choice, gbaker, brasero, k3b) or use existing image if available for above steps. 1. Switch to Console via ctrl+alt+F1 2. Kill X $ /etc/init.d/gdm stop (replace with kdm for kde users) 3. Kill hald $ /etc/init.d/hal(d) stop 4.1 Burn CD (for those having issue with CD) $ cdrecord isoimage.iso 4.2 Burn DVD (for those having issue with DVD) $ growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/sr0=isoimage.iso (replace sr0 with your dvddrive) -- DVD writer not working since hardy upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228624 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 425411] Re: Computer suspends immediately after resuming if power is unplugged while suspended

[Bug 425411] Re: Computer suspends immediately after resuming if power is unplugged while suspended
All given solutions did not worked on touchsmart tx2. The former config I used was to suspend on ac_power and battery. I recognised that there is a difference when the laptop was suspended via button and via closing the lid. Via button the resume went fine without any following suspend action. So my current workaround is to disable the suspend on ac_power / battery - event. This forces myself to suspend via the menu in gpm icon. You can get the menu if you flag gnome-power-manager/ui "show_actions_in_menu". -- Computer suspends immediately after resuming if power is unplugged while suspended https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/425411 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 390871] [NEW] The rebuildd init script should avoid use of /etc/default/rebuildd file.
Public bug reported: Rebuildd ships with both an /etc/default/rebuildd file and a configuration file in /etc/rebuildd/rebuildrc. Only the settings in rebuilddrc should be necessary for base values like archs, dists path of builder-bin. This way rebuildd is much more portable and its stop confusion about what settings has more priority. To disable rebuildd from startup on boot one could remove or set symlinks accordingly.
