[Bug 313300] Re: failed to load kernel module "i915"
@FriedChicken I have made exactly the same experience with intel gm45. The XServer always failed to start with 2.6.28-8. After hours to get the problem i started 2.6.28-6 and it works. To compare where the difference between 2.6.28-6 and 2.6.28-8 is, i started 2.6.28-8 again. AND it works too! I have both log-files working and not working with 2.6.28-8. Feel free to look it up. I can confirm this bug. Using Dell Latitude E6400 with 5300AGN. But there is a second Problem, which maybe can help us to understand, why "automatically connect" does not work. If i configure a new 5ghz connection, the networkmanager connects fast&fine. [Bug 298253] Re: KWin Signal SIGSEGV with nvidia-driver on every login
I installed the nvidia 180.06 driver which solves this issue on my notebook (quadro 140) It was installed via the *.run file. Therefore I dont know how to remove it again. Furthermore KDE4 runs much more fluently now. Especially the minimize and maximize effects. (Unfortinally this broke my suspend to ram) Iam currently on a travel, therefore i have no acces to the other nvidia pc. I think its Nvidia related. [Bug 201429] Re: xrandr+KDE4+desktop-effects: changing orientation with nvidia drivers fails to update desktop size
Kubuntu 8.10 KDE4.1.3 Radeon-Driver with x1900xtx Kwin-Composite enabled Iam able to change the Orientation in the right way now. All things are working, except: 1. The Desktop size (Plasma) is now big enough (in comparison to the "screen rotated"-picture at 2008-03-12), but its even bigger. I made a picture to show it clearer: What you see on your screen is: normal screen: lila+turquoise, rotated screen lila+red. But after rotating the screen the real workspace is as big as all colours together . The mouse disappears when you move it to right screen in "rotaded mode". 2. When you try to [alt]+[tab] (Cover flip) Kwin crashes and restarts new. ** Attachment added: "to big workspace" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19502004/plasma.png -- xrandr+KDE4+desktop-effects: changing orientation with nvidia drivers fails to update desktop size https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201429 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

But when i switch my nine desktops. youll see black stripes on the rigt side of each desktop. This is the too big "workspace" (i dont know how to describe else).
