[Bug 220443] Re: Window decoration disappears with firefox
It seems like this issue may be directly related to the Nvidia drivers and Compiz. The following thread describes potential solutions to the issue: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=835009 I used this solution and it seems to be working for me: The following option is necessary to make window borders visible with nvidia driver versions prior to 100.xx.: gksudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf Add -- Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True" -- under the section where you find your graphic card. -- Window decoration disappears with firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220443 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 220443] Re: Window decoration disappears with firefox
I am also having the same issue with Firefox (Hardy) and Compiz. Firefox takes over the entire window. It covers both the top and bottom Ubuntu launch bars. I also don't have a Firefox title bar. As Firefox is one of the main programs I use, I can't use Compiz at all. -- Window decoration disappears with firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220443 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 110072] Slow Wireless with Encrypted Network on Thinkpad R31
Public bug reported: I have an IBM Thinkpad R31 currently running Feisty and experience slow wireless speeds when connected to my encrypted network. I had the same experience while running Edgy as well. Essentially, it is only when encrypted that the wireless is slow. When I connect to open networks I have decent speeds; however, on encrypted wireless, webpages load over the course of 5-10 minutes. I have tried two separate wireless cards with the same results. It is not my network as with the same settings my WinXP laptop works perfectly with the encrypted wireless network. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Slow Wireless with Encrypted Network on Thinkpad R31 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/110072 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
