[Bug 536699] Re: "hda-intel spurious response" messages and intermittent GDM startup with Intel D945GCLF Motherboard

2011-02-12 Thread HennR
So, what do we do with this bug now?

Will anybody re report it to the kernel devs?

Yeah, that is most probably the problem.

I just started firefox on the console and opened youtube which lead to the
warning.
I wasn't aware of the fact that ubuntu uses the 32 bit flash...

Could you close the bug then?

[Bug 682400] [NEW] no 3D support (glxgears shows nothing, warzone2100 as well)

2010-11-28 Thread HennR
Public bug reported:

glxgears shows only a black screen as well as warzon2100

[Bug 682391] [NEW] On 64 bit systems: wrong ELF class ELFCLASS64

2010-11-28 Thread HennR
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gtk2-engines-xfce

Sometimes I get these messages on stdout:

(npviewer.bin:2300): Gtk-WARNING **:
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/libxfce.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

I first thought that the libxfce.so file would be a 32 bit binary and
the warning complains about that, but file shows me this:

$ file /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/libxfce.so
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/libxfce.so: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object,
x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, stripped

So I am not sure what to do with the warning.

properly so far.

I also enabled display compositing in xfce which works fine, but
glxgears and glxinfo fail directly on run with a segmentation fault.

[Bug 226480] [NEW] ubiquity dies when / is a xfs partition

2008-05-04 Thread HennR
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

When I tried to install Ubuntu 8.10 on /dev/h(s)da3 and format that
partition with xfs the installer warned me that only LILO but not grub
will work, ok fine, I continued.

At the end of the installation the Installer tried to install grub
anyway, instead f giving me the chance to choose LILO, and crashed.

Please include an option to choose LILO as the bootloader too, otherwise
it is just not possible to use a xfs partition for / (and boot as well).
