[Bug 1466926] Re: reload apache2 with mpm_event cause scoreboard is full

2015-11-16 Thread Henti Smith
This bug has been discussed on the apache bug tracker :

https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=53555

There seems to be no movement to fix this that I can see. there is a
patch which seems to fix it for users up to a higher usage level.

2010-04-14 Thread Henti Smith
Public bug reported:

Trying to share a folder on desktop called "shared", the required
software is installed and all seems well.

Options selected are :

Share name: shared
Comment: Random Shares
Allow others to create and delete files in this folder: not ticked
Guest access: ticked

When trying to access share from windows the share is viewable using the
\\ipadddress, however when clicking on it windows displays a message:

Share is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of the server to find out if
you have access permissions.

No network provider accepted the given network path

My /var/og/samba/ log file contains the following:

[Bug 245393] [NEW] dvdrip description and menu item incorrect

2008-07-03 Thread Henti Smith
Public bug reported:

The dvdrip description in synaptic as well as the tooltip once installed
on a gnome and kde desktop describes dvdrip as a "DVD copy program" and
"Copy DVD's"

This is incorrect and is causing confusion with users who want to use
dvdrip to create duplicate DVD's from original DVD's.

Please can this be changed to reflect dvdrip as a ripping program to
convert DVD into supported formats video files.

Thank you

[Bug 114826] Re: terminal in main menu is linked to gnome-terminal not x-terminal-emulator

2007-05-15 Thread Henti Smith
I'm adding it as a comment rather then an additional bug.

When assigning shortcuts using System -> Preferances -> keyboard
Shortcuts -> Run a terminal the same problem exists.

It should exec x-terminal-emulator not gnome-terminal as it does
currently.

I have however not found where to change this yet.

[Bug 114826] terminal in main menu is linked to gnome-terminal not x-terminal-emulator

2007-05-15 Thread Henti Smith
Public bug reported:

when you change your x-terminal-emulator using update-alternatives the
function of applications -> Accessories -> terminal should be to open
the selected terminal. Instead it opens gnome-terminal all the time.

This should change to exec x-terminal-emulator shell which is linked to
the selected terminal emulator as per update-alternatives.

2007-04-16 Thread Henti Smith
Using the linbss_ldap-2.4 does allow you to auth on feisty .. but seg
faults on pretty much everything after that .. so obviously this is not
a desirable fix.

Will look into other options to get this working ..

2007-04-12 Thread Henti Smith
This seems to happen in feisty as well.

Same problem with host/uri in config as well, host works, uri does not.

Going to try and roll back to LTS version to test if the hanging can be
resolved as well.

currently testing on libnss-ldap version 251-7.5 on feisty
