[Bug 1354924] Re: Networkmanager does not autoconnect to wireless network
Søren, Denis, Apparently, the KDE guys who worked on plasma-nm consider the bug to be somewhere else in the stack, maybe in network manager. Has one of you got a Ubuntu 14.10 to test this? If it works with Unity, then we know it's KDE-related. Maybe this can be tested using a Live USB key: * make key for Ubuntu 14.10 * setup WiFi * put in standby * resume - does it auto-reconnect? Then do the same for Kubuntu 14.10... I am sorry I don't have enough time right now to do it myself :-( BTW, if it works in both cases, then it may be an upgrade issue and we would have to compare the config files between the Live and failing systems around network manager/network. [Bug 1047688] Re: Boot fails on udev if USB devices are present
I have a similar (same?) issue on two of my computers upgraded from precise. Two others are ok. And booting from a USB key of a daily works: it's only 50% of my _upgraded_ systems that fail. Their hardwares are very different: one is a Dell laptop, heavily Intel- based and the other a HP Microserver which is AMD-based. If I chmod 644 udevd, the laptop does not crash, hence my search for udev-related hangs in quantal. The server does not completely crash, as hard-disk activity is visible if I connect a USB stick for example. So the behaviours vary slightly. I don't think the Ctrl-C handling is due to ssh, more like some tty or shell option of some sort. Bash _does_ print ^C when I press Ctrl-C but nothing else happens (no interrupt signal sent). Re: [Bug 268502] Re: Bluetooth association no longer works
I am not a developer, but I can assure you this is being worked on: the bluetooth support lib (bluez) has been updated in a way which is not backwards-compatible with the existing stuff (v4). All distributions are affected, this is not Ubuntu-specific in any way. KDE has recently been updated to support it and Kubuntu packages should soon appear with the fix integrated. ** Description changed: My backup program backs up Windows machines by mounting the administrative shares. On one machine, the one connected wirelessly, it sometimes sees a directory empty.
