[Bug 1923670] Re: CIFS DFS entries not accessible with 5.4.0-71.74-generic
DFS entries are accessible with kernel 5.10.0-1023-oem from proposed (package: linux-image-5.10.0-1023-oem, version: 5.10.0-1023.24). I could not find the docu for managing tags, so lets see if this works ** Tags added: verification-done-focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1923670 Title: CIFS DFS entries not accessible with 5.4.0-71.74-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1923670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1923670] Re: CIFS DFS entries not accessible with 5.4.0-71.74-generic
Yes, I can access the DFS entries with the provided test kernel. Please let me know if you need more info from my side. I do not think that it matters here, but I did not install the header files as linux-headers-5.4.0-72-generic depends on linux- headers-5.4.0-72 which is not in the linked web directory. Cheers and thanks for the fast work. :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1923670 Title: CIFS DFS entries not accessible with 5.4.0-71.74-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1923670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1923670] Re: CIFS DFS entries not accessible with 5.4.0-71.74-generic
After figuring out the correct upstream repo for the ubuntu kernel repo (not https://git.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux but https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu- kernel/ubuntu/+source/linux/+git/focal) I replicated your command $ git log --grep 'cifs' Ubuntu-5.4.0-70.78..Ubuntu-5.4.0-71.79 and the most recent commit (f28b34becc655b6139216a72d12378001faa5784) caught my attention. Indeed it was reverted upstream 2 days ago [1]. I think those are the related discussions on linux-kernel [2] and debian-user [3]. The last one describes the same scenario. 1: https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.4.112 2: https://www.mail-archive.com/search?l=linux- ker...@vger.kernel.org=subject:%22Re%5C%3A+%5C%5BEXTERNAL%5C%5D+Re%5C%3A+%5C%5BPATCH+4.19+013%5C%2F247%5C%5D+cifs%5C%3A+Set+CIFS_MOUNT_USE_PREFIX_PATH+flag+on+setting+cifs_sb%5C-%3Eprepath.%22=newest 3: https://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2021/04/msg00062.html -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1923670 Title: CIFS DFS entries not accessible with 5.4.0-71.74-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1923670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The last qtparted package can be found in Intrepid-updates (8.10) and upstream development seems to have ceased since a few years. Also there is a functional qt successor called partitionmanager. [Bug 520919] [NEW] Cantor is missing possibility to add R backend
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdeedu Cantor is an application that lets you use your favorite mathematical applications from within a nice KDE-integrated worksheet interface. It offers assistant dialogs for common tasks and allows sharing of worksheets with others. Available backends are Sage, Maxima, R, and KAlgebra. This backends can be selected in the Cantor settings, however the R backend does not show up there. The R backend is also missing when r-recommended is installed. Maxima and Sage show up, even when they are not installed (which is good, e.g. you might have installed them in /opt). On a further note the packages sagemath and maxima are both suggested by the package cantor, R is not. I am not sure if this are two different issues or not. This is under Karmic KDE SC 4.4.0 with kubuntu-ppa-backports, but Lucid's cantor is missing R as suggestion as well. [Bug 272837] Re: Intrepid: in kile the Konsole tab does not work
The reason the konsole tab is not working in Kile, seems to be that it needs the old konsole from KDE3 not KDE4. See http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=200810181502.27638.braun%40physik .fu-berlin.deforum_name=kile-devel At the moment Kile in Intrepid depends on konsole (4:4.1.2-0ubuntu4) when konsole (4:3.5.x) is needed. However as far as I can see the KDE3 version of konsole is not shipped with Intrepid right now. -- Intrepid: in kile the Konsole tab does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272837 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 282311] [NEW] Kile lacks Okular Profile for Viewing Documents
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kile In KDE4 Okular is the Document Viewer replacing kpdf, kghostview, kdvi (...?) . Kile (2.0.1) ships without View configurations for okular yet. The user can simply create them on their own (Settings - Configure Kile - Tools - Build, select the desired View element and add an okular configuration), however it would be nicer if kile would be ready to use without this. ** Affects: kile (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Kile lacks Okular Profile for Viewing Documents https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/282311 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kile in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 174298] Re: font system mishandles Latin Modern fonts
I can reproduce this here (kubuntu 8.04). Moreover in OOo-Writer Latin Modern is only available as LMRoman10, LMSans10, LMSansQuotation8, LMTypewriter10, LMTypewriterVarWD10. The LMTypewriter10 and LMRoman10 is a small caps only. Regarding point 5: Also switching to italics changes to caps and lower case characters. Computer modern seems to have the same or similar problem. Don't know if it is of any relevance but selecting /usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/lmcsc10.pfb in Font Installer says it is LMRoman10, Regular, however it is LMRoman10-CapsRegular. Accordingly selecting /usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/lmtcsc10.pfb in Font Installer says it is LMTypewriter10, Regular, however it is LMTypewriter10-CapsRegular. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New = Confirmed -- font system mishandles Latin Modern fonts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174298 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 215683] Re: gscan2pdf should offer an option to split a scanned page
Hi, I tried the version from your repository and it did a perfect job splitting the pages of an book with 400+ pages. [Bug 215683] [NEW] gscan2pdf should offer an option to split a scanned page
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gscan2pdf When scanning a book you have two options, either scan a double page or scan only a single page, which often requires you to manually fix the book while scanning. The drawback when scanning double pages is, that you get a double page as one page, which is often inconvenient for screen reading. Programs for bookscanners give you the option to split this page into two by placing a vertical line where you wish the page to be split. This may also make ocr easier. ** Affects: gscan2pdf (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gscan2pdf should offer an option to split a scanned page https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/215683 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 190517] [NEW] qtparted reports success but fails when creating partition, i/o error
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: qtparted When trying to create a partition on an usb-stick qtparted reports success. However the partition is not created. When qtparted is started from terminal, terminal gives Error: Input/output error, während auf /dev/sdc geschrieben wurde. what translates to something like Error: Input/output error, while writing to /dev/sdc qtparted reports success nevertheless. Exact phrase is: Aktionen erfolgreich beendet. i.e. Actions successfully finished. The usb-stick is defect, but qtparted should not report success, should it? Tested with fat32, fat16 and ext2. Not always reproducible, since qtparted sometimes hangs when confirming the create dialog but before actually performing the action.
