Comment on attachment 8963553
Bug 336193 - P2: Use a second SIGTERM in killPid() to ensure parent process is
killed.

https://reviewboard.mozilla.org/r/232486/#review237940

Harnesses built on top of Marionette client as test runner will use
SIGKILL to force killing the browser process. It is only used if the
normal shutdown as requested through the application itself via
`Services.startup.quit` did not work.

[Bug 583797]

2019-01-02 Thread Hskupin
With the removal of the Quit warning dialog on OS X this bug is kinda
annoying because shortcuts to close tabs and the browser itself are
directly beneath each other. It happens so often for me that I
accidentally close the whole browser when I'm trying to close a tab.
With a lot of tabs open it takes a long time to shutdown and restart, in
most cases I loose about 4-5 minutes.

I will ask for blocking so we can sort out what should happen for Fx4
and what not.

[Bug 297143]

2015-01-26 Thread Hskupin
Interesting that this bug is still marked as unconfirmed. I can clearly
see it myself on my laptop running Ubuntu 14.04. It's not that clear to
me yet when it directly starts but it might have something to do with
hibernation. When it occurs the CPU load of Xorg and compiz is raising
up to 60% and stays at this level until the application gets closed. In
my case it is mostly Thunderbird.

I have updated to Ubuntu 14.10 now, and will closely watch this problem
over the next couple of days to maybe find a pattern to reproduce.

[Bug 861664]

2011-10-12 Thread Hskupin
(In reply to Vlad [QA] from comment #85)
If the target milestone set for this bug is mozilla 10, in order to verify
this bug, it's enough if I update from an older nightly build to the latest
one and check that no add-ons are missing or I have to follow some
additional steps? (the same applies to Aurora as well).

You should update from a Nightly builds with a lower version number,
means install a Nightly 9.0a1 build first and update to 10.0a1 for your
check.

2011-09-29 Thread Hskupin
(In reply to Chimel from comment #50)
It would be great if you could create a test add-on that users can update
locally to try and repro this type of bug, instead of relying on actual
add-ons that may or may not have been updated.

I have created an extension which demonstrates that and will be
compatible with all future versions of Firefox. We will use it for our
Litmus test which needs to be added for this particular case. You can
find it here:
