So the difference is if i do sudo or kdesudo. [Bug 632503] [NEW] Changes in fonts are not used when running a to an application for another user
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg I changed the default fonts and everything seemed to be working fine. Then i created a link to application in the desktop and configured it to be run by the root user. What happens is that the launched application (in this case it was kate) doesn't use the configured fonts but the default ones instead. Note that if i do: sudo kate from the command like kate is launched with the correct fonts. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dolphin When i open a folder by double clicking on it the path that dolphin tries to open is the exact path of the clicked folder appended with an e. Then obviously dolphin shows the path not found error. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a folder called myfolder on the desktop. 2. Double click it to open. Actual Results: Dolphin tries to open /home/user/Desktop/myfoldere This also happens if i for example open a removable device from the device notifier widget. I can confirm this too. This is very annoying. The only workaround for me is to not use compiz. I tried the MToolkit fix which fixes the visual bugs but i start getting keyboard lockups on my java applications. [Bug 70579] Random crashes
Public bug reported: Every once in a while(can be 5 minutes or 5 hours) a window just crashes. I can see that the error is: X connection to :0.0 host broken (explicit kill or server shutdown) I can't find any other message in the system logs. This only happens for applications with an opened window, the applets never crash.
