[Bug 1887892] [NEW] I am trying to install Ubuntu on my Asus A455l using USB Installer that I created using Rufus

2020-07-17 Thread Rizky Alfi Husni
Public bug reported:

Before installing Ubuntu, actually i have Installed Linux mint and
upgrade to linux Mint 20.0 Ulyana on my laptop. I am using linux mint
since 19.2. I am trying to install Ubuntu because i have problem with
Nvidia in linux mint and I want to see how it perform on my device

* lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Release:20.04

* apt-cache policy pkgname
N: Unable to locate package pkgname

- I just install Ubuntu and cannot check Software center. a Pop-up
window appear and tell that installation completed and i should restart
the computer.

I expect to see normal installation. i had install Ubuntu 16.04 in 2017 but
it's not my taste.
and what happened is installation progress unexpectedly disrupted and says
something like apt grub install failed, and it is quite serious problem

[Bug 266951] Re: Buffer I/O error on device sr0 Logical Block XXXXXX in Intrepid Ibex Alpha 5

2011-08-06 Thread Husni
Hello,

I am new in this page, I receive the same error using any type of linux
flavor except, a flavor that is used in public schools in spain, I have
a feeling that the OS that is being used in Spain for schools has been
developed nationally. anyways back on track.

Computer:
ASUS EEE PC 1001PX
1GB RAM
Samsung HM321HI (320GB)
Win XP pro (SP3)

FAILED:
Linuxmint 11 (Linux Live USB Creator) (Universal USB Installer) (YUMI Installer)
Ubuntu 11 (Linux Live USB Creator) (Universal USB Installer) (YUMI Installer)
PinguyOS - LATEST (Linux Live USB Creator) (Universal USB Installer) (YUMI
Installer)
Backtrack 5 (Linux Live USB Creator) (Universal USB Installer) (YUMI Installer)

Succeeded:
Guadalinex (made in Spain?) (Linux Live USB Creator) (any, even the latest,
works flawlessly in my PC)
DL LINK FOR GUADALINEX:
http://www.guadalinex.org/mas-programas/descargas/cds-de-instalacion/

I think, but iam not sure, but i think to solve this problem is to go back in
the flavor's version you want, install (if you ever reach there) and upgrade
through prompt. I have used these installers (Linux Live USB Creator, Universal
USB Installer, YUMI Installer) because the laptop that i use is a netbook
(provided from school) and i don't have a external disk drive neither i can't
access to one, the laptop doesn't have a integrated disk drive.

Thanks.

[Bug 184585] Re: gnome-mount crashed with SIGSEGV in g_datalist_id_set_data_full()

2008-02-04 Thread Husni Thamrin
I plugged a USB external disk with 3 partitions. Rhythmbox music player
then started (as if I had clicked a music file) and at the same time I
got this error message. The external disk was mounted fine.
