[Bug 351072] Re: gnome-screenschot Copy to Clipboard error
You're welcome. I'll try to give you all the details: I was making a OpenOffice text document and I needed to paste some screenshots of Firefox on it. I realised that, when left-clicking on copy to clipboard and keeping the dialog open, I could paste the screenshots onto the odt document with the command CTRL+V. But, if I closed the dialog after left-clicking on copy to clipboard the opperation wouldn't work out. So, I deduce that the image would only stay on the clipboard while keeping the dialog open. If you needed any more information, just let me know. [Bug 221849] [NEW] Nautilus crashes when trying to paste files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Something is wrong with Nautilus: it crashes when I try to paste files or folders. I had been using the Hardy Heron from the upgrade packages and I was having this problem. Today I installed it from the CD hoping it would work fine, but it's still wrong... I've been trying to sort when the problem arises and I've not been able to find a regularity. I've just seen that I can't paste folders from my external hard disk to my laptop's without Nautilus crashing; but if I copy the whole content of the folder, create a folder in my home directory and paste everithing in, then, it seems to work... When I try to paste files, some times it works; some other times, it crashes! Until I changed to Hardy Heron everything worked perfectly on my laptop. I hope you have all the information you need about this bug. Re: [Bug 221849] Re: Nautilus crashes when trying to paste files
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 197224 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197224 Hi, I've followed the instructions and I found no files in /var/crash Maybe the problem is that it's not a real crash; I don't get any crash notifications when it happens. Instead, what occurs is that every time I try to paste a file Nautilus closes itself and restarts automatically, but without pasting the file... If you need more info, just email me. thanks Iñaki Calvo - Mensaje original De: Pedro Villavicencio [EMAIL PROTECTED] Para: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Enviado: viernes, 25 de abril, 2008 14:23:10 Asunto: [Bug 221849] Re: Nautilus crashes when trying to paste files Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash- file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- Nautilus crashes when trying to paste files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221849 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. __ Yahoo! I've checked out the Basque translation corresponding the fourth of the links listed by Ricardo Pérez López (https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/nautilus/+pots/nautilus/eu/371/+translate) and I've corrected it (I'm a member of the Basque translator team) as it was wrong. [Bug 197224] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_file_query_info()
I use the Basque language packages and I had the same problem. I've you have a look to the discussion of the bug you'll see that I corrected a translation on the Basque packages (following the example of what the Spanish team had done). But I don't know if something else has to be done to update that on the Basque packages.. ** Changed in: language-pack-gnome-eu (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: language-pack-gnome-es = language-pack-gnome-eu Assignee: Ubuntu Spanish Translators (ubuntu-l10n-es) = (unassigned) ** Changed in: language-pack-gnome-es (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: language-pack-gnome-eu = language-pack-gnome-es -- nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in g_file_query_info() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197224 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
