Public bug reported: I installed vim-editorconfig like so: sudo apt install vim-editorconfig Then I ran vim and typed ":scriptnames" -- editorconfig was not among them. When I look in /usr/share, most vim plugins appear to be in the vim/ directory, but vim-editorconfig has its own directory, and vim doesn't seem to be looking there. Shouldn't running "apt install vim-editorconfig" make it Just Work? lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. @ochosi "You're free to use another locker, however, this bugreport is assigned to the wrong package." Since light-locker seems to be the default screen locker for Xubuntu (I might be mistaken here), I'd say this is a usability bug for Xubuntu. If the solution is indeed to "use another locker", then Xubuntu should probably not use light-locker as the default. This bug is still an issue on Ubuntu 8.10. I can't describe how to reproduce it because it seems to happen intermittently. Sometimes firefox will work for days on end and sometimes it will crash every time I try to visit a website (eg, Gmail), which is what it is doing today. (I'm writing this using Opera.) I'm running Firefox 3.0.11 on Ubuntu 8.10, and when I run it in gdb, I get a similar stack trace to the one posted above. This happens to me when I log out. The screen goes blank, and the computer stop responding entirely. ctrl+alt+f1 (etc), ctrl+alt+backspace... nothing works. I have to power off my computer and power back on again. I double-clicked on the little speaker icon, played with the volume settings (un-muted the capture setting, to be specific), and then closed the window. A popup said "this program is not responding". [Bug 99483] Enabling spell check in openoffice causes the active desktop to switch

Click the regular spell check button (not the underline one). At this point, I am pushed over to my right virtual desktop, away from the left desktop with OpenOffice running on it. [Bug 99305] Microphone input doesn't work
Public bug reported: I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop, and my mic input doesn't pick up any sound. Sound Recorder (v 2.18) doesn't record anything, and Skype's "test call" feature doesn't pick up my voice. I know my hardware works because everything is fine under Windows. I've just upgraded to Ubuntu 7.04 beta and the problem does not seem to have been fixed.
