[Bug 533353] Re: USB stick not recognized since upgrade to 2.6.31-20-generic-pae
Problem solved! by installing usb-modeswitch package from repositories. since the driver is included as a Linux kernel module, such as "usbserial". However, the device still shows up as "usb-storage" by default. usb-modeswitch solves that issue by sending the command which actually performs the switching of the device from "usb-storage" to "usbserial". ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- USB stick not recognized since upgrade to 2.6.31-20-generic-pae https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/533353 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
